It's A
Beautiful Day
Track 1. Written by Queen. Length 2:33.
This track also reprises
at the end of the album.
1. Original
Spontaneous Idea, April 1980 (1:20) (available on 'The Game'
2011 double disc reissue only; this short demo features just
Freddie on piano and vocals, and is identical to the album track,
without the remaining music. It also features a small amount of
dialogue at the start and end)
2. Single
Version (3:57) (on the 'Heaven For Everyone' CD1, on the 2011
double-disc reissue, and in the 'Queen Singles Collection 4'
boxed set; a hybrid of this and the 'Reprise', this has been
remixed and some elements are different, but it is roughly
equivalent to the first 2:22 of the 'Reprise' (with a longer
atmospheric introduction) and then this album version from 1:27
onwards)
3. Ross Robertson
/ DJ Korma 2005 Techno Mix (3:37) (released as a
download single only. This track is a fan-made remix, and was
played on the Queen + Paul Rodgers 2005 European Tour as a
warm-up track, and features some of the music and vocals but adds
a dance beat, piano, and other elements)
4. Techno Mix
'Live Version' (2:42) (recorded in Sheffield, England, on 9
May 2005, available on the 'Return Of The Champions' DVD over the
credits, this is basically the above track with the audience
clapping along, but it loses from 2:07 to 3:02; it also seems to
have some additional percussion)
5. Techno Mix Menu Edit (0:31) (used on the main menu of 'Return
Of The Champions' DVD; a straight instrumental edit of the 'live
version', fading in 3 seconds before the first piano and fading
out before the drums)
6. The
Alps Film Edit (1:00) (over the credits at the end of the
film; a shortened version of the track, featuring the sections
0:35 to 1:25 and then 2:00 to 2:09, ending with an orchestral
crash)
It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
I feel good
And no-one's gonna stop me now, oh yeah
It's a beautiful day
I feel good, I feel right
And no-one, no-one's gonna stop me now, mama
Sometimes I feel so sad, so sad, so bad
But no-one's gonna stop me now, no-one
It's hopeless, so hopeless, to even try
It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
I feel good
And no-one's gonna stop me now
Oh yeah
It's a beautiful day
I feel good, I feel right
I feel good, I feel right
And no-one, and no-one, no-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now, no, no, no
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
Yeah
No-one, no-one, no-one
No-one
Yeah
Sometimes I feel so sad, so sad
But no-one's gonna stop me now, no-one
It's hopeless, so hopeless to even try, to even try, to even try
It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
I feel good
No-one's gonna stop me now, oh yeah
Oh yeah
It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
I feel good
No-one's gonna stop me now, oh yeah
Oh yeah
It's a beautiful day
I feel good
I feel right
No-one, no-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
One, two, three, four
It's a beautiful day
I feel good
I feel right
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now, yeah
Alright
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oooh yeah
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah

I'm taking my ride with destiny
Willing to play my part
Living with painful memories
Loving with all my heart
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
It was all meant to be, yeah
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
That's what they say
Can't you see
That's what everybody says to me
Can't you see
Oh, I know, I know, I know that it's true
Yes, it's really meant to be
Deep in my heart
I'm having to learn to pay the price
They're turning me upside down
Waiting for possibilities
Don't see too many around
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
It's for all to see
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
That's what everybody says
Everybody says to me
It was really meant to be
Oh, can't you see
Yeah, everybody, everybody says
Yes, it was meant to be
Yeah, yeah
When stormy weather comes around
It was made in heaven
When sunny skies break through behind the clouds
I wish it could last forever, yeah
Wish it could last forever, forever
Made in heaven
I'm playing my role in history
Looking to find my goal
Taking in all this misery
But giving it all my soul
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
It was all meant to be, yeah
Made in heaven
Made in heaven
That's what everybody says, wait and see
It was really meant to be
So plain to see, yeah
Everybody, everybody, everybody tells me so
Yes it was plain to see
Yes it was meant to be
Written in the stars
Written in the stars
Written in the stars

Three, four
(Ooooh, take a piece of my heart)
(Ooooh, take a piece of my soul)
(Ooooh, let me live), oh yeah, (ooooh)
Why don't you take another little piece of my heart
Why don't you take it and break it
And tear it all apart
All I do is give
And all you do is take
Baby why don't you give me
A brand new start
So let me live (so let me live)
Let me live (leave me alone)
Let me live, (ooooh), oh baby
And make a (brand new start)
Why don't you take another little piece of my soul
Why don't you shape it and shake it
'Til your really in control
All you do is take
And all I do is give
All that I'm asking
Is a chance to live
(So let me live) - so let me live
(Leave me alone) - let me live, let me live, yeah
(Why don't you let me make a brand new start)
Yeah, and it's a
(Long hard struggle) yeah, yeah
But you can always depend on me
And if you're (ever in trouble) - hey
You know where I will be
Why don't you take another little piece of my life
Why don't you twist it and turn it
And cut it like a knife
All you do is live
All I do is die
Why can't we just be friends
Stop livin' a lie
So let me live (so let me live)
Let me live (leave me alone)
Please let me live
(Why don't you live a little), oh yeah baby
(Why don't you give a little love), go for it baby
Let me live
Please let me live
Oh yeah baby, let me live
And make a brand new start
(Ooooh), let me live (let me live)
(Ooooh), ooh yeah (let me live)
(Ooooh), come on (let me live)
(Ooooh), in your heart, oh baby

were recorded in October 1991.
This track was originally developed for 'Innuendo', and it

song select screen; an edit of the album version from 2:55 to
3:24, fading in over a second and fading out over 2 seconds;
includes the single vocal 'Mother Love' at the start)
I don't want to sleep with you
I don't need the passion to
I don't want a stormy affair
To make me feel my life is heading somewhere
All I want is the comfort and care
Just to know that my woman gives me sweet
Mother love, uh ha
I've walked too long in this lonely lane
I've had enough of this same old game
I'm a man of the world, they say that I'm strong
But my heart is heavy and my hope is gone
Out in the city, in the cold world outside
I don't want pity, just a safe place to hide
Mama please, let me back inside
I don't want to make no waves
But you can give me all the love that I crave
I can't take it if you see me cry
I long for peace before I die
All I want is to know that you're there
You're gonna give me all your sweet
Mother love, uh ha
Mother love
My body's aching, but I can't sleep
My dreams are all the company I keep
Got such a feeling as the sun goes down
I'm coming home to my sweet
Mother
Mother love, mother love, love, love, love, love, love, love
(God works in mysterious ways)
(Mysterious ways)
Eeeehhh, dop
Eh dop, eh dop
I think I'm going back
To the things I learnt so well
In my youth
My Life Has
Been Saved

1. Made In Heaven -The Films Edit (0:29) (on the DVD only, on the
song select screen; an edit of the album version from 1:11 to
1:41, fading in over a second and fading out over 3 seconds)
This is where we are today
People going separate ways
This is the way things are now
In disarray
I read it in the papers
There's death on every page
Oh Lord, I thank the Lord above
My life has been saved, yeah, eh
Here we go, telling lies
Here we go (here we go, here we go)
We're right back where we started from
People going separate ways
This is the way things are now
In disarray, hey
I read it in the papers
There's death on every page
Oh, oh Lord, I thank you from above
My life has been saved
Wooh
Wooh
Wooh
My life, my life has been saved
My life, my life, my life has been saved
I Was Born
To Love You

I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you
Every single day
Alright
Hey, hey
I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you
Every single day of my life
You are the woman for me
I am the man for you
You were made for me
You're my ecstasy
If I was given every opportunity
I'd kill for your love, hey
So take a chance with me
Let me romance with you
I'm caught in a dream
And my dream's come true
So hard to believe
This is happening to me
An amazing feeling
Comin' through
I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yes, I was born to take care of you, honey
Every single day of my life
I wanna love you
I love every little thing about you
I wanna love you, love you, love you
Born - to love you
Born - to love you
Yes (born) I was born to love you
Born - to love you
Born - to love you
Every single day, day, day, day, day, day, day of my life
Woh
An amazing feeling
Comin' through
I was born to love you
With every single beat of my heart
Yeah, I was born to take care of you
Every single day of my life
Yeah, I was born to love you
Every single day of my life
Go, wow, I love you babe
Hey, hey, born to love you
Yes, I was born to love you, hey
I wanna love you, love you, love you
I wanna love you, yeah, yeah
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, it's magic, what, ha, ha, ha, ha
I get so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, yeah
I want to love you (it's magic), love you, love you
Yeah, give it to me

This could be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven
This could be heaven
This could be heaven
This could be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven
This could be heaven
This could be heaven
This could be heaven for everyone
In these days of cool reflection (reflection)
You come to me and everything seems alright
In these days of cold affections
You sit by me and everything's fine
This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be fed, this world could be fun
This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be free, this world could be one
In this world of cool deception
Just your smile can smooth my ride
These troubled days of cruel rejection, hmm
You come to me, soothe my troubled mind
Yeah, this could be heaven for everyone
This world could be fed, yeah, this world could be fun
This should be love for everyone, yeah
This world should be free, yeah, this world could be one
We should bring love to our daughters and sons
Love, love, love, love
This could be heaven for everyone
You know that
This could be heaven for everyone, yes, ha, ha, ha
This could be heaven for everyone, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, wow
This could be heaven for everyone
Listen, what people do to other souls
They take their lives destroy their goals
Their basic pride and dignity
Is stripped and torn and shown no pity
When this should be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven
This could be heaven, this could be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven, could be heaven for everyone (oooh, oooh,
hooo)
This could be heaven, this could be heaven
This could be heaven, could be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven, this could be heaven
This could be heaven, could be heaven for everyone
This could be heaven, this could be heaven for every, this could
be heaven for every, this could be heaven
This could be heaven, could be heaven for everyone (oooh, hooo)
This could be heaven, this could be heaven
This could be heaven, this could be heaven, this could be heaven
This could be heaven, this could be heaven - love
This could be heaven
This could be heaven, oooh hoo
This could be heaven
This could be heaven for everyone
For everyone
This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be fed, this world could be fun
This could be heaven for everyone
This world could be free, this world could be one
In this
Too
Much Love Will Kill You
Track 8. Written by Brian May, Frank Musker and Elizabeth Lamers.
Length 4:19.
This song was originally intended for Queen's 1989 album 'The
Miracle' but was later recorded by Brian May, full details are
available on the 'Back
To The Light' album page.
Details are also available of two unreleased demo versions
from 1989.
1. Promo Version (3:53) (on promo CD's, and also on 'Greatest
Flix III'; an edit, which loses some of the third & fourth
verses, from 1:53 to 2:19)
2. The
Eye Edit (1:48) (an edit from approx 2:29 onwards)
3. Made In Heaven -The Films Edit (0:29) (on the DVD only, on the
song select screen; an edit of the album version from 1:04 to
1:33, fading in and out over a second)
I'm just the pieces of the man I used to be
Too many bitter tears are raining down on me
I'm far away from home
And I've been facing this alone for much too long, ooh
I feel like no-one ever told the truth to me
About growing up and what a struggle it would be
In my tangled state of mind (oooh)
I've been looking back to find (oooh) where I went wrong
Too much love will kill you
If you can't make up your mind
Torn between the lover
And the love you leave behind
You're headed for disaster
'Cos you never read the signs
Too much love will kill you - every time
I'm just the shadow of the man I used to be
And it seems like there's no way out of this for me
I used to bring you sunshine
Now all I ever do is bring you down, oooh
How would it be if you were standing in my shoes
Can't you see that it's impossible to choose
No there's no making sense of it
Every way I go I'm bound to lose
Woh, oh, woh, yes
Too much love will kill you
Just as sure as none at all
It'll drain the power that's in you
Make you plead and scream and crawl
And the pain will make you crazy
You're the victim of your crime
Too much love will kill you - every time
Yes, too much love will kill you
It'll make your life a lie
Yes, too much love will kill you
And you won't understand why
You'd give your life, you'd sell your soul
But here it comes again
Too much love will kill you
In the end
In, in, in, in the end
You Don't Fool
Me
Track 9. Written by Queen. Length 5:24.
This track was conceived by David Richards, experimenting with
vocal excerpts from Freddie's last recordings in 1991. He
arranged it into a song, played it to Roger, Brian and John, and
they in turn added their instruments to finish the track.
The full length album version appears on the 'Greatest Hits III'
compilation.
This track was extensively remixed for the single release, full
details of all remixes can be found on the 'You Don't Fool Me' Remixes
page.
1. LP Edit (4:46) (available on the LP only; this is identical to
the 4:42 Edit below, but it features the normal intro, without
the fade)
2. 3:52 Edit (3:52) (available on all of the Dutch, Italian and
Australian CD singles, and in the 'Queen Singles Collection 4'
boxed set; this loses an introductory verse, most of the 'la'
verses, some of Brian's guitar and some of the outro; it loses
0:28 to 0:43, 0:59 to 1:15, 2:54 to 3:10, and then fades out
between 4:18 and 4:39)
3. 4:42 Edit (available on all French CD singles; this version
fades in between 0:04 and 0:07, then continues as normal, fading
out between 4:34 and 4:46, so it just loses some of the outro)
4. Made In Heaven -The Films Edit (0:29) (on the DVD only, on the
song select screen; an edit of the album version from around 0:14
to 0:42, fading in and out over a second; it retains the first
verse of 'you don't fool me's)
5. The Eye
Instrumental (5:55) (a full instrumental version, which
retains a few backing vocals, and adds a couple of other
sections; there is a nasty glitch at around 3:20 on some
versions)
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
You don't fool me
You don't fool me
You don't fool me, you don't fool me, you don't fool me
You don't fool me
You don't fool me
You don't fool me, you don't fool me, you don't fool me
Laa
La, la, la, la (ooh-ooh)
La, la, la, la
La, la, laa, ah-ahh
You don't fool me, those pretty eyes
That sexy smile, you don't fool me, oooh
You don't rule me, you're no surprise

Day (Reprise)'. Freddie's vocals were recorded in May 1991.

Volume 3' compilation; this is a standalone version which fades
out fully at the end rather than segueing into the next track)

song select screen; an edit of the album version from 1:23 to
1:51, fading in and out over a second)
3. Album Version Edit (3:48) (on the 'Greatest Karaoke Hits' 2004
DVD only; this is a slight edit which fades out earlier)
4. Instrumental
Version (3:48) (on the 'Greatest Karaoke Hits' 2004 DVD only;
an instrumental version of the above edit, retaining some backing
vocals)
5. Cosy Fireside Mix (3:47) (on the 2011 double-disc reissue
only; this is a remix, with less prominent effects, giving it a
stripped down feel)
It's winter fall
Red skies are gleaming, oh
Seagulls are flying over
Swans are floating by
Smoking chimney tops
Am I dreaming
Am I dreaming
The nights draw in
There's a silky moon up in the sky, yeah
Children are fantasising
Grown ups are standing by
What a super feeling
Am I dreaming
Am I dreaming
Woh, woh, woh, woh
(Dreaming) so quiet and peaceful
(Dreaming) tranquil and blissful
(Dreaming) there's a kind of magic in the air
(Dreaming) what a truly magnificent view
(Dreaming) a breathtaking scene
(With the dreams of the world)
(In the palm of your hand)
(Dreaming) a cosy fireside chat
(Dreaming) a little this, a little that
(Dreaming) sound of merry laughter skipping by
(Dreaming) gentle rain beating on my face
(Dreaming) what an extraordinary place
(And the dream of the child)
(Is the hope of the, hope of the man)
It's all so beautiful
Like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah
Mountains are zooming higher, mmm
Little girls scream and cry
My world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning
It's unbelievable
Sends me reeling
Am I dreaming
Am I dreaming
Ahhh
Ooooh, it's bliss
It's
A Beautiful Day

0:00 to 0:09, 1:05 to 1:23 and 1:20 to 2:22, ending in a phase;

It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
I feel good
And no-one's gonna stop me now
Oh yeah
It's a beautiful day
I feel good, I feel right
I feel good, I feel right
And no-one, no-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now, no, no, no
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
Yeah
No-one, no-one, no-one's gonna stop me now, no-one
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now, no, no, no
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one's gonna stop me now
No-one, no-one
Yeah
Yeah
