No Violins

Track 1. Written by Roger Taylor. Length 4:32.
Alternate Versions:
1. 2013 Remastered Version (4:31) (this is identical to the original album version, but it runs slightly slower, and fades out earlier)
Lyrics: (the lyrics in red are lost from the 2013 remastered version)
We were talking 'bout the old times
We went walking down the streets we used to run
Remember when you were angry
About every cause to be had
We weren't all bad

I'm not talking 'bout security complex
I ain't talking 'bout some monochrome duplex
I ain't talking 'bout some new kinda weird sex
I'm just talking 'bout you and me
The way we used to be, hey

I'm just talking 'bout you and me brother
I'm just talking 'bout another time and place
We were hungry, we were mad
We were angry, we were glad
We were really jack the lad
We weren't all bad

We went down, we cruised round
We went down, down, down, in the violence
We went around, we went around, round, round
We didn't hear no violins
Where's the madness, where's the fire
With the flames getting higher
Where's the saints, and the liars

Oh, oh, oh, oh
I'm not talking 'bout security complex
I ain't talking 'bout some monochrome duplex
I ain't talking 'bout some new kinda weird sex
I'm just talking 'bout you and me
The way we used to be, oh
I'm just talking 'bout you and me brother
I'm just talking 'bout another time and place
We were hungry, we were mad
We were angry, we were glad
We were really jack the lad
We weren't all bad

We went down, we cruised round
We went down, down, down, in the violence
We went around, we went around, round, round, round
We didn't hear no violins
Where's the madness, where's the fire
With the flames getting higher
Where's the saints, and the liars

We went down, we cruised round
We went down, down, down, in the violence
We went around, we went around, round, round, round
We didn't hear no violins

We went down, we cruised round
We went down, down, down, in the violence
We went around, we went around, round, round
We didn't hear no violins

We went down

Laugh Or Cry

Track 2. Written by Roger Taylor. Length 3:04.
Alternate Versions:
1. 2013 Remastered Version (3:06) (this is identical to the original album version, but it runs slightly slower)
Lyrics:
This ain't no tragedy
This ain't no addiction
This ain't no comedy
This ain't no fiction

But baby you make me laugh
And baby you make me cry
I don't mind either way
Now I don't care why
You just gotta laugh - or cry
Right till the day you die

Just open up your heart
Or open up your eyes
Laugh or cry

So anytime you wanna laugh
Anytime you wanna cry
Just open up your heart
Or open up your eyes
And baby laugh - or cry

And baby I know
That you'll thank me someday
(Don't hide your emotions)
And baby I know
That you'll see it my way
(Forget all these notions)

So anytime you wanna laugh
Anytime you wanna cry
Just open up your heart
Or open up your eyes
And baby laugh - or cry
Right till the day you die

Lyrics:
Hey little mamma
Give me the keys tonight
Ooooh, what'cha gonna do
Hey little honey
You're coming out with me tonight
Ooooh, what'cha gonna do
Let's jump in your wheels
See how it feels tonight

Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight
Ooooh, yeah
Let's get crazy
Let's get riled, oh yeah
Let's get crazy
Let's get wild tonight

You know that I told you I'd always be true
You know that I could never tell a lie
Well if you believe me the joke is on you
I'll always be crazy, till the day I die

Hey little fruitcake
Don't wear no shoes, tonight
(Ooooh, what'cha gonna do)
We'll get some action
Nothing to lose, tonight
(Ooooh, what'cha gonna do)
Just play your part
I'll show you my heart, tonight

Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight
Ooooh, yeah
Let's get crazy
Let's get insane, oh yeah
Tell ya baby
You won't feel no pain, tonight, alright
Ow, uh

Ow
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight

I said, let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight, alright, wow

Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight, alright
Know what I said

Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight, alright, yeah

Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy
Let's get crazy tonight
Alright

Lyrics: (the lyrics in red are edited out of the single version)
Something horrid

Oh, oh, oh
I would not fight for my country
I would not work to no rule
Don't have no truck with no power game
Won't be some other jerks tool
Don't have no part of no partisans
Won't have no part 'cos one party and another's all the same
(Working for some other man) all the same
Gonna play it
(Working for some other man) at my own game

Oi you
Oi you
I would not fight for my country
I would not work to no rule
Don't have no truck with no power game
Won't be some other jerks tool
Don't have no part of no partisans
Won't have no part 'cos one party and another's all the same
All the same
Play it
At my own game

Oi you
Oi you
Don't wanna die for some old man's crusade
Don't wanna hear what they feed
Don't wanna kill for some cause of the age
Don't wanna cry for somebody else's need
Don't want no piece of no flag in the breeze
Don't want no part 'cos one party and another's all the same
All the same
Gonna play it
At my own game

Oooh, not me - oi you
You don't get me - oi you
Oooh, not me - oi you

You don't get me
The trick is
Oooh, not me - oi you
You don't get me
Oooh, not me - oi you
You don't get me
Oooh - oi you - not me

You don't get me - oi you
Oooh, not me
You don't get me

Good Times Are Now

Track 6. Written by Roger Taylor. Length 3:27.
Alternate Versions:
1. 2013 Remastered Version (3:28) (this is identical to the original album version, but it runs slightly slower)
Lyrics:
Across the street your smile broke
Like a wave across my face
You didn't notice me at all
Across the street I saw you
With some other pretty face
I loved you then, I love you now
I loved you then, I love you now
I had to take a chance
Cos special moments only tend
To happen now and then

I had to take my chance and
Grab the moment by it's ears
Not be just some fly on your wall
Had to take my chance there
So I asked you out to dance there
I loved you then, I love you now
I loved you then, I love you now
I had to take a chance
Cos special moments only tend
To happen now and then

Live for the present
It's the only one we have
Nobody gets out of here - alive
Life in the future might never come to pass
You know, good times are now, oh, oh, oh, oh

Ooh, oh, oh

I loved you then, I love you now
I loved you then, I love you now
I had to take a chance
Cos special moments only tend
To happen now and then
Live for the present
It's the only one we have
Nobody gets out of here - alive
Life in the future might never come to pass
You know, good times are now, oh, oh

Across the street your smile broke
Like a wave upon my face
You didn't notice me at all
Across the street I saw you
With some other pretty face
I loved you then, I love you now
I loved you then, I love you now
I had to take a chance
Cos special moments only tend
To happen now and then
You know, good times are now

Magic Is Loose

Alternate Versions:
1. 2013 Remastered Version (3:24) (this is identical to the original album version, but it runs slightly slower, and fades out earlier)
Lyrics: (the lyrics in red are lost from the 2013 remastered version)
Almost like Christmas
But the calendar's wrong
The silence is deafening
But the feeling is strong
Magic - is loose
Magic - is loose, in the world tonight

The sky is too black
The stars are too bright
The air is too still
Funny business alright
Honey - can you feel it
Honey - can you feel it
Magic - is loose
Magic - is loose, in the world tonight

All through the occident
Through the grey atmospheres
All through the orient
Like a shroud around a sphere

But things are bent
It's a strange kind of scene
There's a little distortion
On my personal screen
Honey - can you feel it
Honey - can you feel it
Magic - is loose
Magic - is loose, in the world tonight

In the world tonight
In the world tonight

Magic is loose, in the world tonight

Lyrics:
Red light warning
Break down coming
Red light warning

People round here call me an airhead
People round here know I like a bottle of wine
People round here think I'm better off dead
The folk's round here call me an airhead
The folk's round here ain't too refined

Break - down - comin'
Raw - nerve end - tingle
Cops - bust - run in
Speed - hurts - keys jangle
Airheads - stick together
Airheads - 'till the end of time
Airheads - don't know better
Airheads - I feel fine

Red light warning

People round here call me an airhead
People round here know I like a bottle of wine
People round here think I'm better off dead
The folk's round here call me an airhead
The folk's round here ain't too refined

Brain - on bed - where am I
Liverpool - Leeds - Miami
Real nutcracker this morning
A real nutcracker last night
Airheads - stick together
Airheads - 'till the end of time
Airheads - I don't know better
Airheads - I feel fine, oh yeah

Red light warning
No panic station

People round here call me an airhead
People round here say I've got space for brains
People round here are no better than junk food
The jerks round here should go and play with the traffic
The folks round here should go and play with the trains

Break - down - comin'

Alternate Versions:
1. 2013 Remastered Version (6:24) (this is identical to the original album version, but it runs slightly slower)
Lyrics:
Strangers in a strange land
In an alien heat
Journeys made by no man
In event of defeat
This ship sings to the skies
This ship sings to the skies
For all you gals and guys

Stranger than fiction
The smile on your face
Boy when we get there
We'll have fun in space
+
Our structure is battered
But the corridors ring
Of little green stories
Of this and these things
This ship sings to the skies
This ship sings to the skies
For all you gals and guys

Stranger than fiction
The smile on your face
Boy when we get there
We'll have fun in space

Ooooh, yeah
Ooooh, yeah

This ship sings to the skies, for all
This ship sings to the skies
For all you gals and guys

Stranger than fiction
The smile on your face
Boy when we get there
We'll have fun in space
