A show in July 2021 titled 'Alpha's London Alive' at the Landmark Hotel in London was due to feature Brian and Kerry, as part of the group Woman, but this did not take place.

2009 Pinktober - Women Of Rock Concert


I'm A Woman, Tie Your Mother Down

This was a charity show to raise money for breast cancer charities, and Brian performed these tracks with the group 'Woman', which comprised Kerry, Mazz Murray, Gina Murray and Anna-Jane Casey. He was the only male performer at the show. A studio version of 'I'm A Woman' was later released in 2020.

These were a series of appearances to promote the debut album 'Anthems', and were broadcast on BBC Radio 2 (show 1), BBC One (show 2, 5 and 6), ITV1 (shows 3 and 4), Channel 4 (show 7) and Scottish TV (show 8; I'm unsure which channel). The 'Proms In The Park' show featured Rufus Taylor on drums.

2011 'Anthems' Tour


Overture, Dangerland, I'm Not That Girl, I Can’t Be Your Friend, Diamonds Are Forever, Somebody To Love, Last Horizon, Love Of My Life (Brian vocals), I Loved A Butterfly, Save Me, No-One But You, You Have To Be There, Love It When You Call, Defying Gravity, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Anthem, Tie Your Mother Down

The two shows at the Royal Albert Hall benefitted the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research charity, featured a full orchestra, and one (or possibly both) shows featured Dan Gillespie Sells, from The Feeling, on 'Love It When You Call'. For both shows, 'Defying Gravity' moved to the end of the setlist, and 'Tie Your Mother Down' was not performed, while for the Liverpool show alone, 'Defying Gravity' was performed before 'Tie Your Mother Down'. 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' was added before 'Last Horizon' at the 12 May show onwards, while the Sheffield and Gateshead shows dropped 'You Have To Be There'. The shows from 16-21 May featured 'Gimme Some Lovin' with Ty Taylor on vocals, between 'Anthem' and 'Tie Your Mother Down', while the 11 June show featured Kerry on vocals. The show on 6 May featured the band and audience singing 'Happy Birthday' to Kerry, before 'Anthem', while the 16 July show dropped 'Diamonds Are Forever', 'No-One But You' and 'Tie Your Mother Down', instead closing with 'Land Of Hope And Glory'.

The band featured Kerry, Brian, Rufus Taylor (drums), Jamie Humphries (guitar), Neil Fairclough (bass), Stuart Morley and Jeff Leach (keyboards), Kirstie Roberts and Niamh McNally (backing vocals).

Brian and Kerry performed a couple of tracks at this event to celebrate conservationist Virginia McKenna's birthday. Both tracks were probably acoustic.

Introduction (probably a guitar solo), Driven By You (one verse and chorus), One Vision (opening chords only), Don't Stop Me Now (entire song, Kerry on vocals), The Chain (part)

Brian and Kerry appeared at this festival in the afternoon, performing on the back of separate pickup trucks. Brian performed part of 'The Chain', by Fleetwood Mac and used for F1 coverage for many years, as his truck drove off.

This was a two hour show, which mainly featured songs from musicals. Kerry performed a total of 16 tracks, three of them with Brian on acoustic guitar, as well as 'You Have To Be There', 'Defying Gravity' and 'No-One But You' without him. The show also featured Jonathan Ansell (from G4) and Ramin Karimloo (from Phantom Of The Opera) who performed two tracks each, and the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Steve Sidwell. The entire show was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2.

2012 All Cannings Concert

This appearance was at a concert to raise money for local cancer charities, and was partly organised by Brian. He played acoustic guitar on the first two tracks, and electric guitar on the rest; the last three tracks were part of the all-star finale.

This show was part of a day celebrating and raising awareness of wildlife. All six tracks were acoustic, featuring just Brian and Kerry, apart from 'Puttin On The Style', for which they were also joined by Joe Brown, sharing vocals between them.

2012 Sunflower Superjam


Born Free, I Loved A Butterfly, Black Night (Bruce Dickinson vocals), Since You've Been Gone (Brian and Kerry joint vocals), School's Out (Alice Cooper vocals), Smoke On The Water (all-star finale, with Bruce Dickinson on vocals)

This was a charity show featuring numerous musicians, including Alice Cooper, Bruce Dickinson, Alfie Boe, and others. The first two tracks were fully acoustic, performed by Brian and Kerry alone, while the other four featured Ian Paice on drums, Brian Auger and Wix Wickens on keyboards, and John Paul Jones on bass for the first three and cowbell on the last. The whole show has been released on DVD.

This was a short tour, featuring just Kerry, Brian, and either Jeff Leach or Stuart Morley on keyboards. Brian mainly played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals, but sang lead vocals or played electric guitar on some tracks. The shows were stripped-down and candlelit, and included many cover versions, with some shows adding 'Since You've Been Gone', 'Cosi Celeste', 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door', 'In The Bleak Midwinter' (Brian on electric guitar), and 'Good Company' (Brian solo on vocals and ukulele).

Selected tracks from various concerts were later included on the 'Acoustic By Candlelight' album in 2013.

2013 'Tiger Tracks' Concert

This event was the first in a series of activities to raise awareness of the plight of tigers in the wild. Brian and Kerry performed a free concert at 6:00pm at St Pancras Railway Station, with Stuart Morley on keyboards.

This was a continuation of the 2012 tour, again featuring just Kerry, Brian and Jeff Leach on keyboards. Again, Brian mainly played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals, but he sang lead vocals and played electric guitar on some tracks. The first five shows added 'The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill' (in place of 'Knockin' On Heaven's Door') and 'I Can't Be Your Friend'. Other tracks performed included 'We Are The Champions' (with a choir, in Liverpool and Manchester only), 'Love Of My Life', 'Can't Help Falling In Love' and part of 'Fog On The Tyne' (in Gateshead only). The 14th July show in Pescara featured Irene Fornaciari (Zucchero's daughter) on 'I Who Have Nothing' (much later in the show), 'Cosi Celeste' and 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'.

The last two shows were not part of the tour itself, but part of festivals. However due to the proximity to the other shows, and the similar setlist, they can be considered a continuation of the tour.

This concert featured a new orchestral version of 'Born Free', featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra, arranged by Steve Sidwell and conducted by Mike Dixon. The track featured Brian on electric guitar, and was broadcast on 3 January 2014 as part of the TV programme 'Diamonds Are Forever: The Don Black Songbook' on BBC4.

This was similar to the 2012 and 2013 tours, again featuring just Kerry, Brian and Jeff Leach on keyboards. Again, Brian mainly played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals, but he sang lead vocals and played electric guitar on some tracks. 'Is This The World We Created?' was added before 'Tie Your Mother Down' at a few shows, while 'I Can't Be Your Friend' was performed twice, and 'Life Is Real', 'Scarborough Fair', and 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' (2001: A Space Odyssey Theme Tune) were all performed once. The show in Buxton featured a choir on 'We Will Rock You', who also sang on 'We Are The Champions', which followed it.

This performance was part of a charity event for the children's charity Coram. They were joined by The Feeling for the fast part of 'Tie Your Mother Down', with Kerry and Dan Gillespie on vocals.

This show was part of a day celebrating and raising awareness of wildlife. 'Wild Thing' was performed by Brian and The Troggs, with Brian on some lead vocals, before being joined by Kerry for 'Tie Your Mother Down'. These first two tracks were fully electric, and performed outside, while the remaining six tracks were acoustic, and performed later in the day inside the cathedral.

This show featured Jeff Leach on keyboards, tenor Vittorio Grigolo on vocals on two tracks, an orchestra on three tracks, and a gospel choir on 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. There is an interview after 'We Will Rock You', via an interpreter. The show was recorded for television and was broadcast in it's entirety in Italy on 3rd June, and is also available on Brian's Official Youtube channel.

The first performance was for the 'Weekend Wogan' radio show, and was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 the next day. The show in Rome was performed for Italian TV, to promote the forthcoming 2016 'One Voice' tour. The third apparance was at a solo show of Kerry Ellis, with Brian making a surprise appearance for the encore. The final show was at a fundraiser event for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, and featured the premiere of the new Cecil's Law video of 'Born Free'.

This show featured cover versions of 'Starman' and Take It Easy' as tributes to David Bowie and Glenn Frey, who died earlier in the month. The show was presumably partly a warm-up for the European 'One Voice' tour which started in February.

As with the previous tours, this was a candlelit show, featuring just Kerry, Brian and Jeff Leach on keyboards. The above setlist was typical, but there were a number of changes throughout the tour. 'Nothing Really Has Changed' was performed upto and including Krakow (2 March), 'Can't Help Falling In Love' was added to the setlist (after 'Somebody To Love') from 3-11 March, while 'Who Wants To Live Forever' was added (after 'Love Of My Life') from Zlin (5 March) onwards. Other songs occasionally performed included 'Is This The World We Created?' (first four shows and Krakow, 2 March), 'The Kissing Me Song' (first four shows and Prague, 8 March), 'If I Loved You' (Mantova and Rome, 27 and 28 February), 'Starman' (Ancona, 21 February), and 'Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt' (the two Budapest shows, 11 and 12 March). Brian performed part of 'Amazing Grace' as part of his guitar in Brno, and possibly at other shows.

Amazing Grace

This was a private performance at the House Of Commons, to launch the 'Amazing Grace' campaign to save hedgehogs in the UK. The performance was at 10am and attended by a number of MP's and their staff, as well as Grace, the hedgehog who inspired the campaign.
