Barbie Doll

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger may sing backing vocals. Length 3:47.
Available on the album 'Woman's Hour'.
It is unclear whether Roger appears on the track or not, as the JP Perkins website doesn't list him but the sleeve notes at CDBaby do.
The lyrics to this track are quite hard to work out, so those listed below may be wrong.
Lyrics:
And I was taught that my prince would come
And he would be a lawyer
And I would have his children
And on the weekends we would barbecue
And all the other princes and princesses would come

She's a fortune dollar
She's too precious
To go too far
She's evermore
She's all skin and bone
She's a barbie doll
She's a shopping doll
She's a barbie doll

She's lovely enough, what she wants she gets
She's dangerous, she forgets
She's much too much
To touch, she don't give a fuck

She's all body and no soul
She's walking to hell on tiptoe
Looking for heaven again
Look at her excellent magazines

She's a barbie doll
She's a shopping doll
She's a barbie doll

So I was taught that my prince would come
And he would be an agent
And I was taught that to be an actress
One must be fashionable
And to be fashionable is to be androgynous
(She's a barbie doll)
And I am androgynous not less
Than mother nature herself
She's a barbie doll
She's a barbie doll

Credit cards chopping up
Another little pick me up
Off to take a
(unknown lyrics)
Pinch (unknown lyrics)
No shopping cart, crashing cheque
Won't famine us until the turning is gonna make her worthless

She's a barbie doll
She's a shopping doll
She's a barbie doll
She's a shopping doll
She's a barbie doll

If I'm right, who's next?
Who wants to teach me
Come on, teach me

Draining Venus

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 4:22.
Available on the albums 'Woman's Hour' and 'Bling volume 1', but not on the album of the same name.
Lyrics:
I'm draining venus on the kitchen floor
I've seen that pool too many times before
It's full of trailing stars
Like tears from heaven falling down tonight
They're not so bright

If all the Gods fall one by one
Will all the fathers and their sons
Will mother nature buy a gun
Are we all under her thumb

I'm draining venus
When all the milk is gone

I'm draining venus, I'm taking her away
Where all the planets and asteroids play
Out of reach and out of touch
Across the universe every mother's crust
It's never enough

If all the angels fell to Earth
They couldn't live like Venus
If every woman lost her faith
There'd be nothing left to say

I'm draining venus
When all the milk is gone

If all the Gods fall one by one
Will all the fathers and their sons
Will mother nature buy a gun
Are we all under her thumb

I'm draining venus
When all the milk is gone
I'm draining venus
When all the milk is gone

Highway 45

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger plays chainsaw (guitar). Length 3:01.
Available on the albums 'Draining Venus' and possibly 'Bling volume 1'.
An earlier version of the track appears on the 1992/3 album 'Miss World', length 3:10, which presumably doesn't feature Roger. It is a rawer track, with some minimal lyric changes (most noticeably losing the 'Highway 45' lyrics) with far less prominent guitar. This version features a short drum intro, whereas the version with Roger begins with footsteps.
Lyrics:
I'm gonna stay awake all night
Until the cow comes home
I used to buy her chocolate
But the old dog likes bones

I'm sick of all the hoovering
And washing all the dishes
I used to be someone once
Blowing my own wishes

She ties me up in ways
Only God would understand
She may be my woman
But she won't let me be her man

Highway 45

I've made a list of all the things
I'm gonna take with me
But I'm gonna leave her something
To remind her of me

A happy tune perhaps
To hum away the day
A dress to clean in
When the domestic's way

Perhaps some holy figurine
Confessor to all those lies
Me, I prefer a piece of lead
Right between the eye

Highway 45

I'm gonna piss on all the things
That pissed on me from high
To the kidney in a jar
I carried deep inside

One day it might grow up
And go and play outside
I hope it leaves a letter
I ain't coming home tonight

From me to you with love
From your daddy's 45
It's a bullet with your name on
Writ with you in mind

Highway 45
Highway 45

I'm sweating like an iceberg
Melting in the freezer
Swimming in the pool
You're drowning in later

Well, you can keep the furniture
You can keep the wine
You can keep everything
I'm leaving it all behind

I feel like a man in a woman's world
Turn your backs for another girl

Highway 45
Highway 45

Bye, bye

She's Rich

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger plays drums.
There are two versions of this track.
The version on 'Woman's Hour' has very heavy drums throughout, starts with vocals, and has a full fade out, length 2:54.
The version on 'Draining Venus' has fewer drums, handclaps, a spoken intro, and a shorter outro, as it segues into the next track, length 3:01.
Due to the heavy drums in the track it's likely that Roger only appears on the first version.
The albums 'Bling volume 1' and 'Bling volume 2' both feature the track with Roger.
Lyrics: (the version on 'Draining Venus' adds the lyrics in red but loses those in blue)
She's in command, she's in charge
'Cos she's the boss, number one
Top dog, the big cheese
Head honcho

'Cos she's rich

She's on the verge of consent
The age of actions and consequence
She's insane, she's no sense
Everything she said she heard from someone else

But she's rich - she's a girl who lives next door
And she's all - like a lift on the top floor
'Cos she's rich - she's a girl with a million or more
Will be sensible, spend it all
yeah

She's the sixth sister to a seventh son
She's the shade of things to come
Will live fast and buy young
She was born in
(unknown lyric)

But she's rich - she's a girl who lives next door
And she's all - like a lift on the top floor
'Cos she's rich - she's a girl with a million or more
Will be sensible, spend it all
yeah

She's got twenty million dollars in Michael Mann
Will pop corn in my hands

Well she's rich - she's a girl who lives next door
And she's all - like a lift on the top floor
'Cos she's rich - she's a girl with a million or more
Will be sensible

Well she's rich - she's a girl who lives next door
And she's all - like a lift on the top floor
Yeah she's rich - she's a girl with a million or more
Will be sensible - spend it all
yeah
Spend it all
Be sensible
I'm gonna spend it all

This Way Up

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 2:28.
Available on the album 'Draining Venus'.
Lyrics:
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
La, la, la, that's fine for me

Is the grass really greener?
Do the flowers smell sweeter?
Are your dreams that much deeper?
Is it really that much clearer?

I wish those wishes all went away
Yesteryears are yesterday
I've a life I lead today

A dog that licks when I get home
Children that cry when they're alone
A wife who works - slaves some might say
But she's got my card every valentine's day

Are these the times that I've forgot
Remembered too late to put back the clock
I hope that heaven's door is locked

I could have sworn I'd told the truth (yeah)
I could reach God from the telephone booth (no)
I bit my tongue and swallowed by words (yeah)
But I sliced my cake and I ate it first (no)

I hope the world should seem well today
Even the Earth needs a holiday
The sun and moon can take the strain
We're all stars in our own way

Why Don't Stars Fall Anymore

Perkins AKA Miss World

, 1997. Roger may sing backing vocals. Length 5:24.
Available on the album 'Draining Venus'.
It is unclear whether Roger appears on the track or not, as the JP Perkins website doesn't list him but the sleeve notes at CDBaby do.
Lyrics:
I fix the break of day each morning
I hold the moon up every night
I'm trying to catch a star that's falling
But my hands shake too much tonight

Up there in the heaven's where the good all go
Out of reach for four years or more
She's over my head and I can't follow
Oh why don't stars fall anymore?

Each day I dream of the moonlight
And raise another spirit to the sky
I'm sure I can reach her through the moonshine
But even I can't get that high

Up there in the heaven's where the good all go
Out of reach for four years or more
She's over my head and I can't follow
Oh why don't stars fall anymore?

In my daze seem to forget
I close my eyes and see in the dark
There's a shooting star over the sunset
Riding up my blue moon heart

I see the tide, it's still turning
The waves are dying on the shore
But every grain of sand was once a mountain
And every soul's been lost before

And when I see the sun it's still shining
Although the wind is trying to blow him out
And I can see the stars, they're all fading
But this one won't go out

Up there in the heaven's where the good all go
Out of reach for four years or more
She's over my head and I can't follow
Oh why don't stars fall?

Carnivorous Girl

Naked Sushi

, 1999. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 3:28.
Released on the 'ep.one' EP, on CD only.
The band featured Matt Exelby, who was part of Roger's touring band in 1999.
Lyrics:
Ah, ahh
I met her in a launderetter
She told me she was looking for something better
I'm a melancholy dreamer
But my baby's got more suction than a vacuum cleaner

She lives at number twenty seven
We luncheon everyday, and I'm in heaven
She always leaves a little bit of room for seconds
And I don't even know her name

She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
I think I'll feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her
'Cos I need her

She's pneumatic and she likes to keep clean
She's breathes through her nostrils, if you know what I mean
Voracious is her appetite
And when she smiles you know it's gonna be all white

She takes me deep down into her soul
I show her the direction, but she's in control
She likes a bacon sandwich and a sausage roll
It's the meat that brings her to knees

She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
I think I'll feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her
'Cos I need her, yeah

I haven't seen her now for a year (for a year)
No longer got the suction so I'm sipping my beer
Selling vacuum cleaners is my baby's career
She's coming to a door near you

She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl
I think I'll feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her, feed her
'Cos I need her

Carnivorous, car-car-carnivorous
Carnivorous, car-car-carnivorous
Car-car-car-car-ni-ni-ni-ni-vor-vor-vor-vor-rou-rou-rou-rous
Car-car-car-car-ni-ni-ni-ni-vor-vor-vor-vor-rou-rou-rou-rous

She's my carnivorous girl (she's my carnivorous girl)
She's my carnivorous girl
She's my carnivorous girl, yeah, yeah
Car-car-car-car-ni-ni-ni-ni-vor-vor-vor-vor-rou-rou-rou-rous

Love And Lust

Lydia Canaan, unknown year. Roger sang joint lead vocals.
Very little is known about this track, other than it being a duet between Roger and Lydia Canaan. The track is unreleased, and was recorded in an unknown year, but it is included on this page as it seems most likely, as she mainly released albums and singles between 1985 and 2000.

Sex, Age & Death

One For Me

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger almost certainly plays drums and sings backing vocals. Length 4:59.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
This track segues into the next track, '$6,000,000 Loser'.
Lyrics:
You're a lotta laughs ain't you babe
You cracked me up I laughed so much I nearly died
It's so funny I was weeping
Cried so hard I nearly split my sides

I watched you laughing on the TV
I don't get it said the kindly host
But there are many here among us
Who feel the sight is but a joke

Your imagination's running riot
Sometimes I swear you believe what you say
No-one seems to notice it's the same joke
It's just told in a thousand different ways

And I can't wait to read the new one
Yeah, the comedy just gets better every day
You're a lotta laughs ain't you baby
It's funny how it all turned out that way

Oooh, you should have known better
You should have known better, ah, ah, ah
It's not for you
This one's for me
It's not for you
This one's for me

I saw a picture of you grinning
Yeah, that smirk covered your entire face
It almost split your head in two
I hear you sold it to OK

Sell a photo of you laughing
The more you hoot the more they pay
You don't even need to get your clothes off anymore
You're a bit too old for that stuff anyway

Somebody saw you at the party
You did the one where you're falling flat on your face
You had the whole place cracking up in stitches
Apparently you fall with such good grace

And the teenage clothes and the see-through sizes
The mutton dished up on the Sunday plate
Is now the lamb in ghostly guises
It's all done in the best of taste

Oooh, you should have known better
You should have known better, ah, ah, ah
It's not for you
This one's for me
It's not for you
This one's for me

Pale White Girls

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger may play drums. Length 4:56.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
Alternate Versions:
1. New Mood Mix (3:49) (available on the CD single only; I have been unable to check this for the lyrics)
2. New Moodier Mix (3:55) (available on the CD single only; I have been unable to check this for the lyrics)
3. French Mix (3:45) (available on the promo-only album 'Sex, Age & Death II', and on the 'Great Songs Of Indifference' CD boxed set only (not on the download); this is a remixed version, with clearer vocals, more prominent music and generally more basic music; it also loses a couple of verses)

Lyrics: (the French mix loses the lyrics in red)
Pale white girls
Look for love
Pale white bodies
Stretch for love

Scratching the flesh
Scraping of bones
Limbs that are trembling babe
For something to hold

Languid and liquid
Well maybe I'll stay
Marbled and ghostly girls
Take me away, away

Her mouth on my body
In this tall room
Crushed, bruised and crimson
Lit by the moon, the fluorescent moon

Sacred those hours
Away from the storm
Wrenched from the deepest pits
Crying "reborn, reborn, reborn"

And I will not follow
And I will not lead
Your permissions to bleed
Have been guaranteed
By the one
Whose approval you seek

Pale white girls
Scratch for love
Pale white bodies
Stretch for love

The crucifix stares
From its hip-cocked heights
But I hold the secrets now
Velvet the night
Velvet the night

And I will not follow
Why waste my time
My permission to bleed
Has been guaranteed
By the one
Whose approval I need

Mudslide

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger may play drums and sing backing vocals. Length 4:51.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
Lyrics:
Dark days they come
Without saying anything
Razzing round your head
Like unwanted flies
One day I'll get it together
And buy one of those
Electric blue fly killer things
Mount it on the kitchen wall over there
And watch 'em fry, wouldn't you?
Watch 'em die, couldn't you?
Pass the time, shouldn't you?
Didn't you?

Baby, baby love falls away
Floats away
Melts into the April air
Summer's coming
I caught it on the hill
Over-ripe already
Still unfilled, wouldn't you?
Unfulfilled, couldn't you?
Still unstilled, shouldn't you?
And didn't you?

Here we all are
Sitting on a mudslide
Are you on my side?
Or are you on the other side's side?
Here we all are
Standing in a minefield
How does your mind feel?
Standing in my field?
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Hey Adrian, I've been dreaming of deserts again
Crocodiles of weeping children
Pass as slow as the sky
Their eyes the only source of water
For two thousand miles

What does it all mean?
I wake up and I swat the night
But everything's so dusty
So empty
So arid, wouldn't you?
So dry, couldn't you?
But you did, didn't you?
Didn't you?

Here we all are
Sitting on a mudslide
Are you on my side?
Or are you on the other side's side?
And here we all are
Standing in a minefield
How does your mind feel?
Standing in my field?
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Mind In Pocket

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger may play drums and sing backing vocals. Length 4:35.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
Lyrics:
Say what d'you want
Say what d'you want

Stuffy air, muggy, thunderous July
Snatches of human drum 'n' bass rolling by
Noise intrudes into my interesting mood
Over half read books and half eaten food
Upstairs they're staging the usual riot
But I'd prefer it to the silence
Yes I'm more afraid of quiet
I need the cities shrieks
This night of urban charms
There's people on the streets
Dancing to their car alarms

Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be
Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be

Talk to a totally nude girl for a dollar
I'm in a topless mood
But my dick can't be bothered
I want to speak to a fully clothed person
For free I think
But I'm not really certain

Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be
Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be

Say what d'you want

Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be
Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be

Say what d'you want
Say what d'you want

Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be
Say what d'you want
Put your mind in your pocket
Put your pocket where your mouth should be
Say what d'you want
Say what d'you want
Say what d'you want
Say
Say
Say
Say what d'you want

Scream In Vain

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger may play drums and sing backing vocals. Length 4:54.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
Lyrics:
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
Lambs led to the slaughter
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
Lambs led to the slaughter
They cut you in a second down at Scream In Vain
Come on
Lambs led to the slaughter
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
Lambs led to the slaughter

Sweet yams in the fields of Harbo
Made me feel better, better
Sweet yams in the fields of Harbo
You made me feel better, better
They took the straw from off the roof
You make the fire catch as it should
You boil the water and you cook the roots
For them it's new
For me old fruits

But more precious now than it's ever been
Share the food in the noonday heat
Sweet yams in the fields of Harbo
The mountains roll
Green on green
The mountains roll
Green on green

Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Cut you in a second down at Scream In Vain
Come on
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Come on
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Yeah

(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Come on
Come on

Come on
Scream In Vain
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Scream In Vain
(Lambs led to the slaughter)
Come on

Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Sweet yams in the fields of Harbo
Money in my pocket down at Scream In Vain
Made me feel better, better
Cut you in a second down at Scream In Vain
Share the food in the noonday heat

Inside Your Head

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger almost certainly plays drums and sings backing vocals. Length 4:38.
Available on the album 'Sex, Age & Death'.
Lyrics:
You got the gold
I got the lead
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

You got the juice
You left me the dregs
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Must it always
Come to this
Someone out there must be taking the piss

Does it always have to
Turn to shit
Someone out there's seriously taking the piss

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

You've got the view
I got the ledge
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

You got the palace
You left me the shed
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Does it always
Come to this
Someone out there must be taking the piss

Must it always have to
Turn to shit
Someone out there's seriously taking the piss

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

You got the gold
I got the lead
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Yeah, you got a life
And left me for dead
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

So why put a noose
Around your neck
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Oooh, ooh, ooh
Oooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
What the fuck's going on inside your head?

Two Dogs

Bob Geldof

, 2001. Roger almost certainly plays drums and sings backing vocals. Length 3:22.
Available on the promo-only album 'Sex, Age & Death II', and on the 'Great Songs Of Indifference' CD boxed set only (not on the download).
Lyrics:
Two dogs
On the, on the highway
They've had nothing to eat all week
They look at each other
One says "I wish I was born a cat"
The other says "don't even think that"

Two dogs laughing
Howling downtown
They snipe and snarl
They take leaks
They go do dog stuff

They like to sniff at human crotches
They like the effect
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
They're really hungry
It's lunchtime
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
Out of the alley on the left hand side comes a man
They don't know it, but he hasn't eaten all week
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)

They're in the same boat
Two dogs, one man
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
He's elite, they think
What they don't know is that he's been watching them all week
And his bite is worse than their bark
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
It's a dog's life
It's a man's world

Ow, ow
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
Ow, ow
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
Ow, ow
(Dippy in a dog a do, do)
Ow, ow

You Can't Hurry Love

(live)

Phil Collins

, 2002. Roger plays drums. Length 3:02.
Performed live at Buckingham Palace, London, on 3 June 2002, and available on the 'Party At The Palace' releases.
Written by Holland, Dozier and Holland, and reached no 3 for The Supremes in 1966 and no 1 for Phil Collins in 1982.
Lyrics:
I need love, love, love
Ooh, to ease my mind
And I need to find, find
Someone to call my
My mumma said

You can't hurry love
No, you'll just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

You can't hurry love
Oh, you'll just have to wait
Just trust in the good times
No matter how long it takes

And now, how many heartaches
Must I stand
Before I find a love
To let me live again

'Cos right now the only thing
That keeps me hanging on
Is when I feel my strength
Yes it's almost gone
I remember mumma said

You can't hurry love
No, you'll just have to wait
She said, love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

How long must I wait?
How much more must I take?
Before loneliness
Will cause my heart, heart to break

And now I can bear
To live my life alone
I've grown impatient for that love
To call my own

And when I feel that I
I can't go on
You know I feel my strength
Yes, it's almost gone
I remember mumma said

You can't hurry love
No, you'll just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

You can't hurry love
Oh, you'll just have to wait
Just trust in the good times
No matter how long it takes
And I'll wait

Now love, love, love
Well it don't come easy
No, I keep on waiting
Anticipating
For that soft voice
To talk to me at night
For some tender arms
To hold me tight

I'll keep waiting
Ooh, until that day
But it ain't easy
(Love don't come easy)
No, it ain't easy
And my mumma said

You can't hurry love
Oh, you'll just have to wait
She said, love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take

You can't hurry love
Oh, you'll just have to wait
Just trust in the good times
No matter how long it takes
And I'll wait

Thank you

Shadow Boxed

Procol Harum

, 2003. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 3:32.
Written by Gary Brooker and Keith Reid.
Available on the album 'The Well's On Fire'.
Lyrics:
I've been body swerved, close observed
Down the well, kiss and tell
I've been lost and found, underground
As good as gold, overload

I've been crazy glued, baby blued
Off the wall, too close to call
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed

I've been squeezed and stroked, okee-doked
Gone and went, heaven sent
I've been fluffed and fussed, cuffed and cussed
Show of hands, shadow lands

I've been down to the wire, house on fire
Reconditioned, under suspicion
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed

I've been instant karma, Dalai Lama
Living proof, and cosmic truth
I've been powder kegged, heavy lead
Out of bounds, what's that sound

I've been down to the wire, house on fire
Reconditioned, under suspicion
I've been lost and found, underground
As good as gold, overload

I've been crazy glued, baby blued
Off the wall, too close to call
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed

Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah

I've been fluffed and fussed, cuffed and cussed
Show of hands, shadow lands
I've been squeezed and stroked, okee-doked
Gone and went, heaven sent

I've been crazy glued, baby blued
Off the wall, too close to call
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed

I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed
I've been Chinese rocks
I've been shadow boxed

Say You Love Me

Cherie

, 2004. Roger played drums. Length 3:56.
Available on the album 'Cherie'.
Lyrics:
I had a dream
I watched from afar
Was no longer hurting
From my broken heart

Oh, then you came to me
I just couldn't believe
The words I've been waiting
So long to receive

When you say you love me
I know I will make it
'Cos in you I believe

When you say you love me
It touches my heart and my soul
Just to know that you love me

You opened your heart
In my time of need
Feeling a love so real
Is so comforting

Since you've come to me
Now I can believe
The three words I've waited
So long to receive

When you say you love me
Oh, I know I will make it
'Cos in you I believe

When you say you love me
It touches my heart and my soul
Just to know that you love me, oh

In my sleep I saw a light moving slowly
And I wondered why this was coming to me
I hear a voice and I know it's true
When suddenly I wake up and I hear you

Say you love me
I know I will make it
'Cos in you I believe

When you say you love me, baby
It touches my heart and my soul
Just to know that you love me

That you love me (say you)
That you love me (love me)
Oh, oh, when you say (say you)
Love me (love me)

Oooh, say you love me

Lyrics: (the menu edit includes the first two verses)
Hot sun beating down
Burning my feet just walking around
Hot sun making me sweat
Gators getting close, hasn't got me yet

'Cos I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk
Yeah, I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling everything

Blue jeans sitting on the beach
Dog's talking to me, but she's out of reach
She's got a body under that shirt
All she wants to do is rub my face in the dirt

'Cos I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk
And I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just standing here selling

And checking everything is in place
Never know who's looking on

Oh, young punk spilling beer on my shoes
Fat guy's talking to me trying to steal my blues
Thick smoke, see her smiling through
Never thought so much could happen just shooting pool

'Cos I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk
I can't dance, I can't sing
I'm just sitting here and

Oh and checking everything is in place
Never know who's looking on, no, no
Perfect body with a perfect face

Oh, a hot sun beating down
Burning my feet just walking around
Hot sun making me sweat
Gators getting close, hasn't got me yet

'Cos I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk
I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing I
(ad-libbed vocal)

And checking everything is in place
Never know who's looking on
Perfect body, with the perfect face

I can't dance, I can't walk
(The way I walk)
I can't dance, I can't sing
(The way I walk)
I can't, I can't walk

Yeah, yeah
(The way I walk)
I can't think
I can't think
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(The way I walk)

I can't dance, I can't talk
Yeah, I can't dance, I can't talk, no
I can't, I can't
Oh, it's only the way that I talk

I can't dance, I can't sing
Oh, tell me everything
I can't, I can't
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, oooh
(The way I walk)

I can't dance, I can't talk
(The way I walk)
I said I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk

I can't dance, I can't talk
I can't dance, I can't talk
Only thing about me is the way I walk
Yeah, I can't dance, I can't talk
I'm a just a sitting here selling

Woh, and checking everything is in place
You never know who's looking on
Perfect body, with the perfect face

Wooh

Yeah, wooh
Woooh
Woooh
Wooh, oooh
Woooh

Wooh
Yeah, wooh

Summer Of Rock 'n' Roll

Outl4w

, 2005. Roger mixed the track and played drums. Length 3:17.
Available on the album 'Get In The Van' (as 'Outl4w') and as a CD single and download (as 'Twisted X feat. Outl4w').
Lyrics:
Let's go

January feeling blue
Just the thought of seeing you
February's playing on my mind
Now you're here it's fair to say
That March can't be so far away
And summer won't be very long behind

'Cos I just love those summer days
Crazy hazy summer days
Come on let's rock 'n' roll
It's the summer of rock 'n' roll

Don't wanna drive a bus or train
Catch a thief or fly a plane
I only wanna rock 'n' roll
Come on let's rock 'n' roll together

Summer days

'Cos I just love those summer days
Crazy hazy summer days
Come on let's rock 'n' roll
It's the summer of rock 'n' roll

Don't wanna drive a bus or train
Catch a thief or fly a plane
I only wanna rock 'n' roll
Come on let's rock 'n' roll together

Summer days

March I don't need you no more
Stop hanging round you're such a bore
April's kind of creeping up on me
I know we'll make it through somehow
May she's nearly over now and
Summer's round the corner wait and see

'Cos I just love those summer days
Crazy hazy summer days
Come on let's rock 'n' roll
It's the summer of rock 'n' roll

Don't wanna drive a bus or train
Catch a thief or fly a plane
I only wanna rock 'n' roll
Come on let's rock 'n' roll together

I just love those summer days
Crazy hazy summer days
Come on let's rock 'n' roll
It's the summer of rock 'n' roll

Don't wanna drive a bus or train
Catch a thief or fly a plane
I only wanna rock 'n' roll
I just wanna rock 'n' roll

Stalker

Hannah Jane Fox

, 2005. Roger produced the track, with Joshua J. Macrae. Length 3:20.
Only available on the 'We Will Rock You - Around The World EP' iTunes download.
Some of the lyrics of the track are from a phone-in from a radio/TV programme, with Hannah Jane Fox talking to the host.
Lyrics:
See that man, behind that tree
He's spent seventeen hours just waiting for me
It is really no doubt he's in love with me
I really am his number one priority

You might call him a loser, but I call him a friend
'Cos he's the last man standing when my evening ends
He says "baby I love you, won't you hear my confession"
I say "don't worry babe, I share the same obsession"

Yeah, I've got myself a stalker (oooh, ooh, ooh)
And he's not much of a talker (oooh, ooh, ooh)
But he's mine, I must have hit the big time
I've got myself a man (oooh, ooh, ooh)
He follows me in a big blue van, oh yeah
I must have hit the big time, man

I just love the attention, and his life's a mess
I wanna do it with a drummer in a borrowed dress (wow)
He's happy to let me, 'cos he knows my address
And with some gentle persuasion he's gonna sell it to the press

I don't mind the heavy breathing on the end of the phone (ha, ha, ha, ha)
'Cos I've never been a girl who likes to be alone (never be alone)
And I'm comfortable sleeping, knowing that he is peeping
We're two of a kind, we share the same obsession (ohhhhh)

Yeah, I've got myself a stalker (oooh, ooh, ooh)
And he's not much of a talker (oooh, ooh, ooh)
But he's mine, I must have hit the big time
I've got myself a man (oooh, ooh, ooh)
He follows me in a big blue van, oh yeah
I must have hit the big time

So, what do you do with this correspondence, Hannah?
Um, keep his letters by my bed
I just sort of like to re-read things that he's said
It's good, it's good to know I really count
(Isn't that what life's about)
Tell me what you're thinking
I close my eyes and count to ten
Um, do you know what I mean, he's still there when I open them
Do you think you're lacking a role model?
What, do you think I never had a dad?
I think I never had a dad

Oooh, ooh-oooh, ooh-oooh, ooh-oooh
I know you're in there
Oooh, ooh-oooh, ooh-oooh, ooh-oooh
I've bought you underwear

The police want to meet him, said he's gone too far
When they found out he was sleeping in the back of my car
I said officer please, don't take him away
'Cos he's the only man I ever loved this way

Yeah, I've got myself a stalker (oooh, oooh, la, la, la)
And he's not much of a talker (oooh, oooh, la, la, la)
But he's mine, I must have hit the big time
I've got myself a man (oooh, oooh, la, la, la)
He follows me in a big blue van, oh yeah (oooh)
I must have hit the big time
I've got myself a man (oooh, oooh, la, la, la)
He follows me in a big blue van, oh yeah (oooh)
I must have hit the big time, man

Thank you
You've been really helpful

Jarvis

Hannah Jane Fox

, 2009. Roger plays drums. Length 3:35.
This track is taken from the album 'You Got People', which is yet to be officially released. It may also have been released as a single.
Lyrics:
I waited through September, February came
He never did come in so I went out, mmm
I found another lover, Jarvis is his name
He really gave me something I could smile about again
I figure you should know
I'm not sleeping alone, no, no, no

'Cos Jarvis makes me happy now, we are in love
And when I think of you it's him I'm really thinking of
He took your place, he stole my heart
He's just the best, you're worlds apart
I'm not crying in the dark

And our life's a disco, but I don't see your name on the door
And I like to get down more than I ever did before with you, with you
And I'm not suprised you come back now
You don't like to hear that I'm not down 'cos I was the tap you just let run
I think you should know
I'm not sleeping alone, no, no, no

'Cos Jarvis makes me happy now, we are in love
And when I think of you it's him I'm really thinking of
He took your place, he stole my heart
He's just the best, you're worlds apart
I'm not crying in the dark

And I cried like a baby when you set me free
Now I cannot remember just how it used to be

'Cos Jarvis makes me happy now, we are in love
'Cos Jarvis makes me happy now

He took your place, he stole my heart
He's just the best, you're worlds apart
I'm not crying 'cos we are
In love
We are in love

'Cos Jarvis makes me happy now, we are in love
And when I think of you it's him I'm really thinking of
He took your place, he stole my heart
He's just the best, you're world's apart
I'm not crying 'cos we are in love
