Would You Believe

Famous Jug Band

, 1970. Roger sings backing vocals and may have produced the track. Length 2:31.
Available on the 'Chameleon' album.
Roger supposedly sings backing vocals, but these are very minimal, so it is hard to tell.
Lyrics:
Would you believe me if I told you that the best things in my life were free but I have had to find them first
Would you believe me if I told you that the sea of knowledge I have sailed will never ever quench my thirst
Only you have the
Only you have the
Only you have the time

Would you believe me if I told you that the greatest things I've ever seen just crept before my open eyes
Would you believe me if I told you that the greatest songs I've ever heard were made by men who were not wise
Only you have the
Only you have the
Only you have the time

Would you believe me if I told you that the song I'm singing sounds so silly, doesn't really mean a thing
Would you believe me if I told you that I think of only funerals and marriages when church bells ring
Only you have the
Only you have the
Only you have the time

Only you
Only you
Only you have the time

Roads To Moscow

Al Stewart

, 1973. Roger may play percussion. Length 7:59.
Available on the 'Past, Present And Future' album.
Roger was believed to play percussion on this track, but now it seems unlikely. The album was reissued in 2015, which credits Roger on 'Nostradamus' (see below) but not this track. Al Stewart also stated this in a 2016 interview.

Lyrics:
They crossed over the border the hour before dawn
Moving in lines through the day
Most of our planes were destroyed on the ground where they lay

Waiting for orders, we held in the wood
Word from the front never came
By evening the sound of the gunfire was miles away

Ahh, softly we moved through the shadows, slipped away through the trees
Crossing their lines and the mists and the fields on our hands and our knees
And now that I ever was able to see
The fire in the air glowing red, silhouetting the smoke on the breeze

All summer they drove us back through the Ukraine
Smolensk and Vyazma soon fell
By autumn we stood with our backs to the town of Orel

Closer and closer to Moscow they come
Riding the wind like a bear
General Guderian stands at the crest of the hill

Winter brought wither the rains, oceans of mud filled the roads
Gluing the tracks of their tanks to the ground while the sky filled with snow
And now that I ever was able to see
The fire in the air glowing red, silhouetting the snow on the breeze

Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh

(Ahh-ahh-ahh) in the footsteps of Napoleon the shadow figures stagger through the winter
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) falling back before the gates of Moscow standing in the wings like an avenger
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) and far away behind their lines the partisans were stirring in the forest
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) coming unexpectedly upon their outposts, growing like a promise
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) you'll never know, you'll never know, which way to turn which way to look, you'll never see us
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) as we're stealing through the blackness of the night you'll never know, you'll never hear us
And the evening sings in a voice of amber, the dawn is surely coming
The morning road leads to Stalingrad and the sky is softly humming

Two broken tigers on fire in the night
Flicker their souls to the wind
We wait in the lines for the final approach to begin

It's been almost four years that I've carried a gun
At home it'll almost be spring
The flames of the tigers are lighting the road to Berlin

Ah, quickly we move through the ruins that bow to the ground
The old men and children they send out to face us, they can't slow us down
And now that I ever was able to see
The eyes of the city are opening, now it's the end of the dream

Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh
Ahh-ahh-ahh

(Ahh-ahh-ahh) I'm coming home, I'm coming home now
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) you can taste it in the wind, the war is over
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) and I listen to the clicking of the train wheels as we roll across the border
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) and now they ask me of the time that I was caught behind their lines and taken prisoner
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) they only held me for a day, a lucky break I say, they turn and listen closer
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) I'll never know, I'll never know, why I was taken from the line and all the others
(Ahh-ahh-ahh) to board a special train and journey deep into the heart of holy Russia

And it's cold and damp in the transit camp
And the air is still and sullen
And the pale sun of October whispers the snow will soon be coming
And I wonder when I'll be home again
And the morning answers never
And the evening sighs and the steely Russian skies go on
For ever

Nostradamus

Al Stewart

, 1973. Roger plays percussion. Length 9:44.
Available on the 'Past, Present And Future' album.

Available Versions:
1. Album version (9:44) (on 'Past, Present And Future' and probably various compilations)
2. Single version (3:28) (released as the B-side to the 'Swallow Wind' single, and also included on the 2015 album reissue; this loses a lengthy intro and middle instrumental section, and some of the outro, none of which feature Roger)

Lyrics: (the single version includes the lyrics from 'A king shall fall and put to death' onwards)
In the east
The wind is blowing
The boats across the sea
And their sails
Will fill the morning
And their cries
Ring out to me

Mmm-mmm-mmm

Oh
The more it changes
The more it stays the same

And the hand
Just re-arranges
The players in the game

Mmm-mmm-mmm

Oh, I had a dream
It seemed I stood alone

And the veil of all the years
Goes sinking from my eyes like a stone

A king shall fall and put to death by the English parliament shall be
Fire and plague to London come in the year of six and twenties three
An emperor of France shall rise who will be born near Italy
His rule cost his empire dear, Napoloron his name shall be

From Castile does Franco come and the Government driven out shall be
An English king seeks divorce, and from his throne cast down is he
One named Hister shall become a captain of Greater Germany
No law does this man observe and bloody his rise and fall shall be

Man, man, your time is sand, your ways are leaves upon the sea
I am the eyes of Nostradamus, all your ways are known to me
Man, man, your time is sand, your ways are leaves upon the sea
I am the eyes of Nostradamus, all your ways are known to me

In the new lands of America three brothers now shall come to power
Two alone are born to rule but all must die before their hour
Two great men yet brothers not make the north united stand
Its power be seen to grow, and fear possess the eastern lands

Three leagues from the gates of Rome a Pope named Pol is doomed to die
A great wall that divides a city at this time is cast aside
These are the signs I bring to you to show you when the time is nigh

Man, man, your time is sand, your ways are leaves upon the sea
I am the eyes of Nostradamus, all your ways are known to me
Man, man, your time is sand, your ways are leaves upon the sea
I am the eyes of Nostradamus, all your ways are known to me

Reach Out For Each Other

Phillip Goodhand-Tait

, 1973. Roger plays drums and may sing backing vocals. Length 3:22.
Available on the album 'Phillip Goodhand-Tait', released in 1975, and also available as the B-side to the 'Almost Killed A Man' single.
This is an acoustic track, and was apparently recorded at Trident Studios, 1973, during the sessions for Queen's debut album. It is possible that Roger appears on other tracks from the album.
Lyrics:
If you're down on the wrong side of heartache
Since you left it's a matter of pride
She'll understand when you're by her side

No sense why two should suffer
Swallow your pride and
Reach out for each other

She's had enough of the neighbours talking
It's getting so that you won't go out
Somebody should ask what it's all about

No sense why two should suffer
Swallow your pride and
Reach out for each other

If you're down on the wrong side of heartache
Since you left it's a matter of pride
She'll understand when you're by her side

No sense why two should suffer
Swallow your pride and
Reach out for each other
Reach out for each other
Reach out for each other

No sense why two should suffer
Swallow your pride and
Reach out for each other

Reach out
For each other
Reach out
For each other
Reach out
For each other
Reach out
For each other
Reach out
For each other

Survival

Fox

, 1975. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 4:21.
Available on the album 'Tales Of Illusion', released in September 1975, and also released as a single, which failed to chart.
Lyrics:
You know the media is getting greedier
Every word out of three is inflationary
It's getting higher, higher, higher, higher
You know the wireless can't surprise us
With a key new phrase about economy
It's getting higher, higher, higher, higher

Oh, survival is out in the garden
The answer is over the fields
You see what you are, you are what you feel
Oh, survival is out in the meadows
The answer lies under the blue
Whoever you are, whatever you do

You know the workers are in a circus
Under a big top tent of controversy
The politicians have great ambitions
Oh, to make their names in history
They wanna go higher, higher, higher, higher

Oh, survival is out in the garden
The answer is over the fields
You see what you are, you are what you feel
Survival is out in the meadows
The answer lies under the blue
Whoever you are, whatever you do

(Improvised/ad-libbed vocals)
It's getting higher, higher, higher, higher

Oh, survival is out in the garden
The answer is over the fields
You see what you are, you are what you feel
They say it's getting higher, higher, higher, higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher

Dangerous

Eugene Wallace

, 1975. Roger plays drums. Length 3:08.

Lyrics:
Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby
Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby girl

Pushing to the left of me
They're shovin' to the right
There's no one there to fight for me
They all hate the sight of me

I'm dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby, now

Too much detention, now I'm bound to breathe, yeah, yeah
Only so much hatred I can deal, yeah, yeah, yeah
Only so much left for saying I deserve
Look at me now I'm

Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby, now
Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby, now

Pushing to the left of me
They're shovin' to the right
There's no one there to fight for me
They all hate the sight of me

I'm dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby, now

Always seem to be in trouble with the man, yeah, yeah
Somehow I don't seem to fit into his plans, yeah, yeah
One day soon I'm gonna wind up in the can
Won't you look at me now I'm

I'm dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby
Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby, I'm
Dangerous
Dangerous
Dangerous
Oh my baby, you know my baby
Dangerous, dangerous
Dangerous, baby now
Dangerous, listen to me people
Oh my baby, you know my baby
Dangerous
Dangerous, dangerous

How Come You're So Dumb

Hilary Hilary

, 1979. Roger co-wrote the track, produced, arranged, and played guitars, drums, keyboards and bass. Length 2:38+.
Written by Roger Taylor and Hilary Vance.
Released as a single with 'Rich Kid Blues', but did not chart.
This track has a similar feel to Roger's solo track 'Turn On The TV'.
Lyrics:
Hey you
This girl is wounded, she's lost all her fight
She's even stopped caring if you're home at night
She's permanently pretty, she just watches TV
Thinks about leaving, but don't wanna be free

You just work at being a jerk
Oh, how come you're so dumb
How come you're so dumb
Oh, how come, you're so dumb, how come
(You're no intellectual)

This girl is wasted, this girl is tired
This girl is crazy, nervous and wild
Gets up at seven, her life's so unfair
She's unmoved by Venus, her heart is so bare

You just work at being a jerk
Oh, how come you're so dumb
How come you're so dumb
Oh, how come, you're so dumb, how come

You've got some habits, they're all so very nice
Baby I don't mind if I was part of your vice (know what I mean)
Baby I don't mind, I'm used to wasting time
When you're the only habit that I need

Oh, how come you're so dumb, how come
Oh, how come you're so dumb, how come

Rich Kid Blues

Hilary Hilary

, 1979. Roger produced and arranged, and played guitars, drums, keyboards and bass. Length 3:06+.
Released on the B-Side of 'How Come You're So Dumb', but did not chart.
Lyrics:
Been having bad times, and I am paying dues
Got shoes and money and good friends too
Always play to win but always seem to lose
That's why I think I got a rich kid's blues
That's why I think I got the rich kid's blues

I know what's going on
I don't have to wait till dawn
And I know just exactly what's on your mind
You'll be back and I'll prove it, yeah

Was I wondering why now, did I have to blame
All the people standing by caught there in my game
Love is just a story, a story without words
Words that always never seem, never even heard

I know what's going on, yeah
I don't have to wait till dawn
And I know just exactly what's on your mind
You'll be back and I'll prove it, yeah

Was I wondering why now, did I have to blame
All the people standing by caught there in my game
Love is just a story, a story without words
Words that always never seem, never even heard

And I know what's going on, yeah
And I don't have to wait till dawn
And I know just exactly what's on your mind
You'll be back and I'll prove it, yeah
Ohh-ooh, ohh-ooh, oooh, oooh

Though my good times just ain't dues
I got shoes and money and good friends too
Always play to win, I always seem to lose
That's why I think I got a rich bitch blues
That's why I think I got a rich kid's blues

Mel Smith's Greatest Hits

Mel Smith

, 1981. Roger sang backing vocals and produced the track. Length 3:09.
Released as a single, with 'Richard & Joey', but it failed to chart.
The title of the track is 'Mel Smith's Greatest Hits', although the actual lyric is 'Julie Andrews' Greatest Hits'.
Lyrics:
I wanna dance (I wanna dance)
You can tell at a glance (I wanna dance)
But I don't wanna do the mambo
And I don't wanna do the tango
I wanna jump up and down to my favourite sound
Which is black and round and it costs five pounds

Julie Andrews greatest hits
All the up-to-datest bits
They're my family favourites
Julie Andrews greatest hits

Julie Andrews greatest hits
John Peel gives me screaming fits
Find a station that transmits
Julie Andrews greatest hits
Julie Andrews greatest hits

I wanna dance (I wanna dance)
But I don't get a chance (I wanna dance)
But I don't wanna do the rumba
And all that kind of number
I want the whisperings of the shimmering strings
As the lady sings all my favourite things

Julie Andrews greatest hits
All my stereo emits
I can't wait to get me mits
On Julie Andrews greatest hits

Julie Andrews greatest hits
All the really straightest bits
What's the thing to dance to? It's
Julie Andrews greatest hits, ha

Ha, ha, OK, fine, yeah, well we're all having a jolly good time and I really don't want to break things up, OK, but

Julie drives me frantic
'Cos I'm a bit of an old romantic
And she sounds so nice and she's so precise
I'm in paradise with me Edelweiss

Julie Andrews greatest hits
Really tears my brain to bits
Loudly as the law permits
Julie Andrews greatest hits

Julie Andrews greatest hits
Even the sedatest bits
Rock and roll gets on my (yeah, good, point taken, OK)
Julie Andrews greatest hits
Julie Andrews greatest hits

'Julie Andrews greatest hits' is then sung a further seven times, underneath the following dialogue:
Yeah, yeah, yeah, OK, well, er, enough's enough, er, and a joke's a joke, er, and we've all have a jolly good laugh, um, and let's be honest, um, it's easy to laugh isn't it. But you know while we're laughing, um, and let's be honest why shouldn't we be laughing, I mean, I mean, well there's nobody enjoys a good laugh more than I do, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. But no, no, with all due respect, er, and bearing in mind that we're all entitled to our opinion let's be honest, Julie Andrews, what a marvellous professional. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear

Richard & Joey

Mel Smith

, 1981. Roger sang backing vocals and produced the track. Length 2:23.
Released on the B-side of 'Julie Andrew's Greatest Hits', but it failed to chart.
This track is a sort of conversation (mostly sung) between the two characters.
Lyrics:
Oh, oh, hi Joey
Hello Richard
How did it go?
Oh not bad, not bad, how did you go down?
Oh, oh, fine thanks
Here, what's wrong Dick? You're looking a bit down
Nothing
Oh come on Richard, tell your old mate Joey, get it off your chest, eh?

You've heard that old story
It's nothing new since he walked out on me
I've been so lost in the crowd wearing a shroud night and day
And I don't care what people say

Yeah, I know what you, I know what you mean mate, but I mean it's not that bad is it, I mean

My life's an old movie in kodachrome
Lines on a silver screen
My life's a gay masquerade, colours that fade and then die
Please take my hand, please tell me why

Yeah, well, I, I mean I

Keeping alone, my vigil over the phone
My love please let me atone I'm turning to stone out here
Steady on Dick, steady on
My movie's all going wrong, there is no end to the song
I'm left alone on the stage, trapped in a cage and I've dried

Please take your hand away, you fucking poof
Who cares what people say
They say it's never too late
Come off it mate
Please be kind
Look Dick, I'm not that way inclined

Ah, ah, ah, ah, la, la (no, Richard, Richard)
La, la, la
La, la, la
Laa, laa, laaaaa

Diamonds And Pearls

Kansas

, 1982. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 4:50.
Available on the album 'Vinyl Confession'.
Lyrics:
The stage is set, the race is on
To drink the cup 'til every drop is gone
And when you make it to the top
The hunger doesn't stop

You climb the ladder to success
The way the world defines it more or less
You find the grass is greener still
On someone else's hill

Diamonds and pearls
Silver and gold
Soon fade away
Empty and cold
Nothing remains of the things that we strive to attain
Only the love that is lasting will not be in vain

They say that pride's before the fall
The stakes are high, you know who takes it all
To make it through the needle's eye
You just can't live a lie

Diamonds and pearls
Silver and gold
Soon fade away
Empty and cold
Nothing remains of the things that we strive to attain
Only the love that is lasting will not be in vain

Diamonds and pearls
Silver and gold
Soon fade away
Empty and cold
Nothing remains of the things that we strive to attain
Only the love that is lasting will not be in vain

Play The Game Tonight

Kansas

, 1982. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 3:26.
Available on the album 'Vinyl Confession', and also released as a single which did not chart. The track also appears on the album 'The Best Of Kansas'.
Lyrics:
You think that something's happening
And it's bigger than your life
But it's only what you're hearing

Will you still remember
When the morning light has come
Will the songs be playing over and over
Till you do it all over again

Play, play the game tonight
Can you tell me if it's wrong or right
Is it worth the time
Is it worth the price
Do you see yourself in the white spotlight
Then play the game tonight

And when the curtains open
To the roaring of the crowd
You will feel it all around you

Then it finally happens
And it's all come true for you
And the songs are playing over and over
Till you do it all over again

Play, play the game tonight
Can you tell me if it's wrong or right
Is it worth the time
Is it worth the price
Do you see yourself in the white spotlight
Then play the game tonight

Play

Play, play the game tonight
Can you tell me if it's wrong or right
Is it worth the time
Is it worth the price
Do you see yourself in the bright light

Play, play the game tonight
Can you tell me if it's wrong or right
Is it worth the time
Is it worth the price
Do you see yourself in the white spotlight

Play the game tonight
Play the game tonight
Play the game tonight

Right Away

Kansas

, 1982. Roger sings backing vocals. Length 4:06.
Available on the album 'Vinyl Confession', and also released as a single which did not chart.
Lyrics:
Right away, love me right away
Won't you come on girl, there's no other way
If I were you, I would see it through
I'd be loving me, I'd know what to do
Right away

How do you feel about me now
The time has come, you must decide
Where you will run, where you will hide
How will I know if you're alright
I can feel the warmth of you next to me
Hearing your voice inside my head
Don't ever leave me, tell me you'll stay
Don't let me go on living this way

Right away, love me right away
Won't you come on girl, there's no other way
If I were you, I would see it through
I'd be loving me, I'd know what to do
Right away
Right away

All of the days and nights we shared
Remember the good, forget the bad
All of the things that we've been through
Don't they mean anything to you
Oh, when the night comes I feel all alone (feel all alone)
Knowing that you won't be there

It was a good thing, what we once had
Can't live without it, I've gotta get it back

Right away, love me right away
Won't you come girl, there's no other way
If I were you, I would see it through
I'd be loving me, I'd know what to do
Right away

Why don't you stop and think what you're doing to me

Right away
Right away

Crash

Gary Numan

, 1982. Roger plays drums. Length 3:37.
Available on the album 'Dance'.
There are some lyrics sung during the outro, over the vocals 'crash, the driver', but these are very difficult to make out.
Lyrics:
Don't things change
Don't we all
What's it like to
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash

Like them dollar boys in the rain you are
Nothing more to prove
So please just send in the machines
We know little of celebrations
And how are things are with you
You're hung up on time
You're hung up on age
You're hung up on time
You're hung up on age
Wooh, now there's me
Wooh, now there's me
What's it like to
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash

I remember not everything's like such now you know
You drink to rumours and talk about someone new in your bed
There is no game to win so get out as fast as you can

Hung up on the time
Hung up on my age
Hung up on the time
Hung up on my age
Oooh, you don't know
Wooh, you don't know
What it's like to
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver
Crash, the driver

Moral

Gary Numan

, 1982. Roger plays tom toms. Length 4:31.
Available on the album 'Dance'.
Some of the lyrics in this track are impossible to make out, and those that are don't make much sense anyway.
Lyrics:
These New Romantics are oh so boring
I could swear I've been there once or twice before, like you
I should grow wings and just forget the club
You know the legends never wanted to be me, like
(unknown lyric)
Far too erratic to be O.K, so?
If you're concerned well I don't care
You play games, and you play safe
Me, I just sighed with relief
And I screamed at your boys
Who shine like some boys

Like some scream now you're too
(unknown lyric)

Matthew's mother the change disturbs me
You've everybody's friend, age, I suppose now you
Just like religion you're going nowhere
Throw your so explicit clothes onto the floor
Your main, main
On those occasions when everything broke
Down including you and me
See the boy, see the girl
The exhibition now is over
Nice schemes, drags and
Something down like drives in me

You are nothing without life with me and you cry

(unknown lyric) so far

Dream like you are
Dream like you are

(unknown lyric) dream
You dream
(unknown lyric) now like boys
(unknown lyric)

You Are You Are

Gary Numan

, 1982. Roger plays drums. Length 3:59.
Available on the album 'Dance'.
Lyrics:
You are, you are
Hopefully mistaken
Like old ties
You'll soon be broken down
Like all the rest who tried

You are, you are
Something quite surprising
Story's odd concerning love
The scene will change for you, you know

You are, you are
Just a good reflection
Nothing more
You'd like to take me for the world
To see you leave

You are, you're a
Living exhibition
Defying age
Like a seasoned veteran
Of men for cash

I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to wait, I won't forget
Exactly what you are

See her shine like stars
Before they burn
See her shine with stars
Before they fade away
Such a shame
Best of fame

I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to wait, I won't forget
Exactly what you are

(undecipherable lyrics)

I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to wait, I won't forget
Exactly what you are

I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to hide, I won't forget
Exactly what you are

Like some
(undecipherable lyrics)
I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to wait, I won't forget
Exactly what you are

Because
I know how to hide and wait for you
I know how to wait, I won't forget

Fools Rush In

Debbie Byrne

, 1985. Presumably Roger plays drums and possibly sings backing vocals. Length 3:30.
Available on the album 'The Persuader', which was later reissued in 1996.
Lyrics:
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread
And so I come to you my love
My heart above my head

Although I'll see the danger there
If there's a chance for me, then I don't care

Fools rush in where wise men never go
But wise men never fall in love
So how are they to know

When we met, I felt my life begin
So open up your heart and let this fool rush in

Although I see the danger there
If there's a chance for me, then I don't care

Fools rush in where wise men never go
But wise men never fall in love
So how are they to know

When we met I felt my life begin
So open up your heart and let this fool rush in

Fools rush in

Available Versions:

Lyrics: (the extended version includes an additional 'Do you remember me?' at the end)
In the searchlights
You could see us as we circled around
Down below us
You were screaming I could hear the sound
I could see your arms
Reaching up to me

Like a demon
Feel the madness running through the crowd
We were freedom
From the moment that we hit the ground
And the wild man
He laid the thunder down

Do you remember me
Like I remember you
In a sea of pain
You came shining through
In the mist of time
I can see it now

All my life I will remember this
Under a raging moon
For this moment I was born for it
Under a raging moon
Under a raging moon
We were flying there
Under a raging moon
We saw Zion there
It ended all too soon
Under a raging moon

We were out there
When they handed us the rebel's crown
All the headlines
All they tried to do was tear us down
But the wild man
He didn't fool around

Do you remember me
'Cos I remember you
Yeah, you won my love
When the dream came true
When my blood ran high
I can hear it now

All my life I will remember it
Under a raging moon
For this moment I was born for it
Under a raging moon
Under a raging moon
We were flying boy
Under a raging moon
It's worth dying for
It ended all too soon
Under a raging moon

Under a raging moon

Taking me back to better times
We never read the danger signs
Why are the young
Why are the young so blind

Do you remember me
'Cos I remember you
Yeah, you won my blood
When my dream came true

All my life I will remember this
Under a raging moon
From this moment I was born for this
Under a raging moon

All my life I will remember this
Under a raging moon
For this moment I was born for it
Under a raging moon

Do you remember me

Do you remember me

Lyrics: (the extended version includes the additional lyrics in red)
Your love don't live here
Love don't live here anymore
Your love don't live here
Love don't live here anymore

Your love don't live here
Love don't live here anymore

You abandoned me
Love don't live here anymore
Just look back and see
Love don't live here anymore

When you lived inside of me
There was nothing in the world
You wouldn't do for me
Troubles seemed so far away
Then you changed and went away

Then you abandoned me
Love don't live here anymore
Just look back and see
Love don't live here anymore, anymore

Love don't live here anymore
Just emptiness and memories of what we had before
Why'd you have to go away
Find another place to stay

You abandoned me
Love don't live here anymore
Just look back and see
Love don't live here anymore
Yeah

There are windows in my eyes
Everyone can see the loneliness inside of me
Don't you know I need you so
Why did you have to go

Then abandoned me
Love don't live here anymore
Just look back and see that
Love don't live here anymore
Yeah

Don't live here anymore
Love don't live here
Don't live here anymore
Anymore

You went away and left me
Now love don't live here anymore
Anymore

Your love don't live here
Love don't live here anymore

Love don't live here anymore

Are We Playing With Fire?

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 3:58.
Available as track 1 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
When you move in close to me
Sends a shiver right down my spine
When you move in close I feel so fine

When you look in my eyes
And my heart almost skipping a beat
Just one look and it knocks me off my feet
I don't know that I can get back it up

We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
Is this love

When you take my hand
Never feel like I understand
Oh, I feel like I'll never let go your hand

Anywhere we kiss
I can feel there's a world I missed
There's a world I love inside your kiss
I don't know that I can help myself

We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
Is this love?

We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
Oh, is this love?

So now I feel

(Unknown lyric) love
Is it love I feel?

Girl, when we make love
Make a boy feel like a man
Make a boy feel like only a woman can

We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
We're playing with fire
Oh, is this love?

We're playing with fire (we're playing with fire)
We're playing with fire (ooh, we're playing with fire)
We're playing with fire

Oh no
We're playing with fire (we're playing with fire)
We're playing with fire (oh we're playing with fire, yeah)
We're playing with fire
Is this, is this, is this love, yeah

We're playing with fire (playing with fire)
We're playing with fire (oh we're playing with fire)
We're playing with fire
Is this love, oh, oh, wow, yeah, yeah

We're playing with -

It Tonight

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:04.
Available as track 2 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
I've been watching you
I've seen you hanging round sometimes
Yeah, I've been watching you
Now I can't get you off my mind

Just one look and you may find
Your lucky number is the same as mine
I've been watching you
Now I can't get you off my mind

I wanna touch you
I wanna feel you close to me
I wanna touch you
I wanna feel you wanting me

Take a chance and you can see
You can feel the same for me
I wanna touch you
I wanna feel you close to me

We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight
We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight
We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight
Ooh, yeah

Hey

I can almost feel you
You're beating in my heart at night
I can almost feel you
I really need to hold you tight

Don't you know how it's gonna be
I believe in destiny
I can feel you
You're beating in my heart at night

We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight, ooh yeah
We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight
We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight

Don't you know how it's gonna be
I believe in destiny
We're gonna make it tonight
Make it a night, tonight, ooh yeah
Gonna make it alright
Make it alright, yeah
Come, we're gonna make it tonight
Make it tonight
You know we're gonna make it tonight

Only Love

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:17.
Available as track 3 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
Here we stand
Worlds apart
With love torn hearts
We close our eyes
Make believe we're blind
But between the lines
We can read the signs

We've been down this road so long, so many times
We've been here where angels fear to tread

Only love can break your heart
Only love can tear it apart
Only love keeps you asking why
You need her tonight

We can't go on
In make believe
We used to be
We can't go on
It's written on the wall
That our love will fall
Now that June has come

We've been down this road so long, so many times
We've been here where angels fear to tread

Only love can break your heart
Only love can tear it apart
Only love keeps you asking why

Only love can break your heart
Only love can tear it apart
Only love keeps you asking why
You need her tonight
You need her tonight
Oh, you need her

We've been down this road so long, so many times
We've been here where angels fear to tread

Only love can break your heart
Only love can tear it apart
Only love keeps you asking why

Only love can break your heart
Only love, oh, you tear it apart
Only love keeps you asking why
You need her tonight
You need her tonight

(Only love can break your heart) oh, you need her tonight
(Only love can take your heart)
(Only love can break your heart)
(Only love can take your heart) don't you know you need her
(Only love can break your heart)
(Only love can take your heart)
(Only love can break your heart)
(Only love can take your heart) oooh, your love
(Only love can break your heart)

It's In Your Eyes

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:25.
Available as track 4 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
Words wouldn't reach my mind
Save your breath and please save mine
Silence is just fine
I won't attempt to read your mind
If I did, I'm sure I'd find
The things I'd left behind
If I read your mind

It's in your eyes
It's written in your eyes
In your eyes
It's in your eyes
No need for your reply
In your eyes
It's in your eyes
To think that you were mine
In your eyes
It's written in your eyes

Can't let the fallen ties
'Cos what you're saying with your eyes
Is speaking in disguise

A simple word, a simple lie
Won't be required, quite this time
No, not even if they're right
Hey, wouldn't that be fine

It's in your eyes
It's written in your eyes
In your eyes
It's in your eyes
No need for your reply
In your eyes
Oh, yeah
It's in your eyes
To think that you were mine
In your eyes
No need for your disguise
It's written in your eyes

Words wouldn't reach my mind
Save your breath and please save mine
Silence is just fine
I won't attempt to read your mind
If I did, I'm sure I'd find
The things I'd left behind
If I read your mind, ooh

It's in your eyes
It's written in your eyes
In your eyes
It's in your eyes
No need for your reply
In your eyes
Oh, yeah, yeah
It's in your eyes
To think that you were mine
In your eyes
No need for your disguise
It's written in your eyes

Waiting For Your Love

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 3:50.
Available as track 5 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
It's two o'clock in the morning
And your man was out of town
Oh, the nights were so long, the feeling was strong
It's a habit worth forming
But my love is out of bounds
Girl, it's something inside that can't be denied

Waiting, waiting for your love
Waiting all day, yeah
Waiting, waiting for your love
Passing my way

I hear a knock on my door
And you're standing all alone
Girl, the nights become old
My passion grows cold

Love's some kind of drug
You abuse it all night long
Girl, you're hooked on love
But Lord above, it's been so long

Waiting, waiting for your love
Waiting all day, all day
Waiting, waiting for your love
Passing my way, yeah, oh
Waiting, waiting for your love
Keep on my side baby
Waiting, waiting for your love
Keep me satisfied, yeah

Keeping you waiting
Keep me waiting so long
Keeping you waiting
Ahhhh, yeah

The dawn is breaking
As you're walking out of my door
Oh, I know you'll return
For something you're yearning for
Burning for

Waiting, waiting for your love
I can keep me, keep me waiting for more
Waiting, waiting for your love
Oooooh
Waiting, waiting for your love
Been waiting all day, baby
Waiting, waiting for your love
Keep me satisfied
Waiting, waiting for your love
Oh, kept me waiting so long
Waiting, waiting for your love
Ohh, but you're gonna let me down
Waiting, waiting for your love
And you kept me waiting so long

Livin' On A Knife Edge

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:45.
Available as track 6 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
I knew there'd be danger
Knew right from the start that livin' on a knife edge
Livin' on a knife edge

You knew there'd be trouble
Knew right from the start you'd be livin' on a knife edge
Livin' on a knife edge

I hoped you'd be waiting
You lied with your arms, I was blinded by emotion
Blinded by emotion

You saw desperado
You saw from the start I was blinded by emotion
Blinded by emotion

Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge

Show me why I'm hurting
Survive while you can 'cos the tables will be turning
Tables will be turning

Just one hesitation
Needs this girl of mine, the tables will be turning
Tables will be turning

Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge

Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge
Now we're livin' on a knife edge

Now we're livin' on a knife edge (now we're livin' on a knife edge)
Now we're livin' on a knife edge (yeah, we're living, oh yeah)
Now we're livin' on a knife edge (ooh-oh-ooh, yeah, now we're living on)

Now we're livin' on a knife edge (oohhhhh)
Now we're livin' on a knife edge (now we're living, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Now we're livin' on a knife edge

Now we're livin' on a knife edge (yeah, we're living on a knife edge)
Now we're livin' on a knife edge (yeah, we're living on, yeah, yeah)

For All We Know

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 3:48.
Available as track 7 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
I can see her smiling
There's a feeling going on
I can see her smiling
There's a feeling going on

There's a wind in and out my ears
But the sin but I just can't give
I can see her smiling
There's a feeling going on

For all we know
This could be one day called love
For all we know
This could be one day called love

There's a new day dawning
I can see it in her eyes
There's a new day dawning
I ain't telling her no lies

Should assume but I just can't see
She'd be loving all the times in me
There's a new day dawning
I can see it in her eyes

For all we know
This could be one day called love
For all we know
This could be one day called love
For all we know

I've been waiting so long
I've been waiting so long

There's a new moon rising
I can feel it in the air
There's a new moon rising
I can feel it everywhere

Stars are shining in the downward sky
When we kiss I feel like I can fly
There's a new moon rising
I can feel it in the air

For all we know
This could be one day called love
For all we know
This could be one day called love

This could be one day called love (this could be one day called love)
This could be one day called love (this could be I feel one day called love)
This could be one day called love (this could be one day called love)
This could be one day called love (this could be one day called love, yeah)
This could be one day called love (this could be one day called love)
This could be one day called love (this could be I feel one day called love)
This could be one day -

Don't Run Away

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:36.
Available as track 8 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
Something's out there calling
You can feel it calling
There's no time for you to turn away

They don't know you're leaving
They won't care, no grieving
Be no tears, there'll be no words to say

And when the night is calling home
And all that's left to do is run
And they awake and find your empty room

Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them beat you
Don't let them cheat you
Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them find you've run away

Something's out there calling
Endlessly it's calling
There's no reason you can find to stay

They won't know you're leaving
They won't need their
(unknown lyric: sleeping?)
No goodbyes (unknown lyric: no converts to repay?)

And when the night has come and gone3
And all that's left to do is run
And they awake and find your empty room

When the way your tongue is curled
No-one to lean on, no-one to hold
No-one to understand the way you feel

Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them beat you
Don't let them cheat you
Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them find that you've run away
Don't run away

Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them beat you
Don't let them cheat you
Don't run away
Don't run away
Don't let them find that you've run away
You've run away

Don't let them find you've run away, yeah, yeah, oooh
You've run away
Don't let them find you've run away, oh no
Don't let them, don't let them find
They'll find you've run away, run away, yeah, yeah

Take A Chance

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 3:27.
Available as track 9 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
How does it feel
Is she everything you heard of
This is for real
Kind of love you only dream of

Think it over now
Think it over now
Think it over now

What will you see
She can keep your world from turning
How can it be
You can spend your nights re-learning

Think it over now
Think it over now
Think it over now

Think it over now
Think it over now

Take a chance and hold on tight
Save your dreaming for tonight
Take a chance don't lose a day
Feel your heartaches fade away

How does it feel
Like the whole world stands against you
When will you see
Let love come to your rescue

Think it over now
Think it over now
Think it over now

Think it over now
Think it over now

Take a chance and hold on tight
Save your dreaming for tonight
Take a chance don't lose a day
Feel your heartaches fade away

Feel them fade away
Mmmm

Take a chance and hold on tight
Save your dreaming for tonight
Take a chance don't lose a day
Feel your heartaches fade away

Take a chance and hold on tight
Save your dreaming for tonight
Take a chance don't lose a day
Feel your heartaches fade away

Feel them fade away
Oh, feel them fade away
Oooh, feel them fade away
Feel them, fade
Feel them fade away

Goodbye Don't Mean Forever

Virginia Wolf

, 1985. Produced by Roger. Length 4:41.
Available as track 10 on the album 'Virginia Wolf'.
Lyrics:
(Unknown lyrics at the start)

Take your time getting back to me
I've been waiting for the phone to ring
Summer passing by, passing by

Got your letter, sealed and signed
You say you're hurting but you can't find time to break away
So you say

If you got a girl, I won't fade away
Save my tears for yesterday
Yesterday, so far away

'Cos goodbye don't mean forever
Time will show that I am right
Though tonight we're not together
You know goodbye don't mean forever

Don't turn your face, don't look away
No use in crying, you can't use your tears to wash away
What you say

I don't know, try to understand
Can't keep on leaping when I just don't know where I'm gonna land
Where I stand

If you've got a girl, I won't fade away
Save my tears for yesterday
Yesterday, so far away

'Cos goodbye don't mean forever
Time will show that I am right
Though tonight we're not together
You know goodbye

'Cos goodbye don't mean forever
Time will show that I am right
Though tonight we're not together
You know goodbye
Don't mean forever
Don't mean forever
Don't mean forever

Take your time getting back to me
I've been waiting for the phone to ring
Summer passing by, passing by

Got your letter, safely sealed and signed
You say you're hurting but you can't find time to break away
Ooh, so you say

If you got a girl, I won't fade away
Save my tears for yesterday
Yesterday, so far away

'Cos goodbye don't mean forever
Time will show that I am right
Though tonight we're not together
You know goodbye

'Cos goodbye don't mean forever
Time will show that I am right
Though tonight we're not together
You know goodbye
Don't mean forever
Don't mean forever
Don't mean forever

Oh, no
Don't mean forever
Don't, no, mean forever, oh no
Don't mean forever
Ooooh, yeah
Don't mean forever
Forever, oh, no
Don't mean forever
Oooh
