Adam Lambert Biography and Songs

Adam Lambert 'Ghost Town' Adam Lambert 'Two Fux' Adam Lambert 'Whataya Want From Me'

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in 1982, Adam Lambert found fame as the runner up of the eighth series of 'American Idol'. The final show was held in Los Angeles in May 2009, and Brian and Roger made a guest appearance, performing 'We Are The Champions' with Adam and the eventual winner, Kris Allen.

Adam released his debut album 'For Your Entertainment' in 2009, which reached no. 3 in the USA charts, and featured his best selling single to date, 'Whataya Want From Me', which reached no 10. This was followed in 2010 by his first solo tour, 'Glam Nation Tour', which featured 113 shows across the US, Europe and Asia, and spawned a live album and DVD of the same name.

Adam performed with Queen again in 2011, to perform four tracks at the MTV European Music Awards in Belfast. This was followed by a huge free concert in Ukraine in 2012, on the eve of the European Championship Finals, to raise awareness of HIV and AIDS across the country, followed by three shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. The same year, Adam released his second solo album 'Trespassing', which became the first album by an openly gay artist to top the US charts.

Queen and Adam toured extensively from 2014 and 2017, with tours across North America, Asia, Australasia, the UK, Europe and South America, including the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2016, and Queen's first ever shows in Israel, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Thailand. During this time, Adam released his third and most recent album 'The Original High' in 2015, again reaching no. 3 in the USA and becoming his highest charting UK album, reaching no. 8, followed by a solo tour of the same name.

As well as appearing as a judge or mentor on 'American Idol' several times, Adam also appeared in five episodes of 'Glee', and a TV remake of 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'. He also lends considerable support to charitable causes, and is a campaigner for LGBT rights. He cites some of his biggest influences as Freddie Mercury, David Bowie and Robert Plant.

As of August 2017, he has sold 3 million albums and 5 million singles worldwide.

So far, Queen and Adam Lambert have performed four solo Adam Lambert tracks together, which are listed below.

Lyrics:
Died last night in my dreams
Walking the streets
Of some old ghost town
I tried to believe
In God and James Dean
But Hollywood sold out

Saw all of the saints
Lock up the gates
I could not enter
Walked into the flames
Called out your name
But there was no answer

And now I know my heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town

Died last night in my dreams
All the machines
Had been disconnected
Time was thrown at the wind
And all of my friends
Had been disaffected

Now, I'm searching for trust
In a city of rust
A city of vampires
Tonight, Elvis is dead
And everyone's spread
And love is a satire

And now I know my heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town
Ooh, my heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town

There's no one left in the world
I'm gunslingin'
Don't give a damn if I go
Down, down, down
I got a voice in my head that keeps singing

Ooh, my heart is a ghost town
Ooh, my heart is a ghost town
Oooh, my heart is a ghost town
Said my heart
My heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town

Lucy

Lyrics:
She's off to party with the diamond dogs
From the wrong side of the tracks
Her window's open anytime she's home
But now it's locked up at last

She was bound to break free from the start
Girl got that rebel heart
She's out to rumble, gonna get it on
There ain't no stopping her now

Lucy
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Lucy, Lucy
Yeah, yeah

She's off to sell herself in city bar
The jaws are loaded for love
She gonna get beaten playing with the dark
Innocence under attack

She was bound to be stabbed in the back
All for some fun in the sack
Now she's alone and got no one to call
Well, no, she ain't turning back

Lucy
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Lucy, Lucy

Lucy

Oh, Lucy
Alright
Yeah, yeah

Run away
Lucy
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay, run away, girl
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Lucy, Lucy
Lucy, yeah

Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay, oh Lucy
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay, yeah
Run away, run away-ay-ay-ay
Lucy, Lucy
Lucy

Lyrics:
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

I only trust my tarot cards
Pink flamingos in my yard
People think that I'm from Mars
Whatever
Only smoke that holy green
High above the big machine
Not attached to anything
Whatever

I got that magic you call A.D.D
Rep for them aliens different like me

If you think that
What I do and how I live's too much
I don't really, really give two fucks
If you think that
What I say and what I give ain't love
I don't really, really give two fucks

Here, right here, right here
Namaste right here, right here, right here
Ooh, ooh, ooh

I'm the center of a crowded room
I might as well be on the moon (yeah, yeah)
Searching for that one or two
Who get it (oh, yeah)
See me talking to myself
'Cos no one gets me like myself
I've been this way since I was twelve
I get it

I got that magic you call O.C.D
Rep for them aliens different like me

If you think that
What I do and how I live's too much
I don't really, really give two fucks
If you think that
What I say and what I give ain't love
I don't really, really give two fucks

Here, right here, right here
Namaste right here, right here, right here
Ooh, ooh, ooh

One shot for my enemies
In the end it ain't that deep (it ain't that deep, girl)
I'm a get my inner peace
In leather (ow)

If you think that
What I do and how I live's too much (how I live)
I don't really, really give two fucks (I don't give two fucks)
If you think that (I don't give, I don't give, I don't give, oh yeah)
What I say and what I give ain't love
I don't really, really give two fucks (I don't give two fucks)

Here, right here, right here (oh, oh, oh, oh)
Namaste right here, right here, right here (I don't give, I don't give, I don't give two fucks)
Ooh, ooh, ooh

Here, right here, right here
Namaste right here, right here, right here
Ooh, ooh, ooh

Lyrics:
Hey, slow it down
Whataya want from me
Whataya want from me
Yeah, I'm afraid
Whataya want from me
Whataya want from me

There might have been a time
When I would give myself away
Oh, once upon a time
I didn't give a damn
But now here we are
So, whataya want from me
Whataya want from me

Just don't give up
I'm working it out
Please don't give in
I won't let you down
It messed me up
Need a second to breathe
Just keep coming around, hey
Whataya want from me
Whataya want from me
Whataya want from me

Yeah, it's plain to see
That baby you're beautiful
And there's nothing wrong with you
It's me, I'm a freak, yeah
But thanks for loving me
'Cos you're doing it perfectly

Yeah, there might have been a time
When I would let you slip away
I wouldn't even try but I think
You could save my life

Just don't give up
I'm working it out
Please don't give in
I won't let you down
It messed me up
Need a second to breathe
Just keep coming around, hey
Whataya want from me (whataya want from me)
Whataya want from me
Whataya want from me (whataya want from me)

Just don't give up on me
I won't let you down
No, I won't let you down

So, just don't give up
I'm working it out
Please don't give in
I won't let you down
It messed me up
Need a second to breathe
Just keep coming around
Hey, whataya want from me

Just don't give up
I'm working it out
Please don't give in
I won't let you down
It messed me up
Need a second to breathe
Just keep coming around
Hey, whataya want from me (whataya want from me)
Whataya want from me (whataya want from me)
Whataya want from me (whataya want from me)
