| This is one of Queen's most famous shows, and was
broadcast live on 'The Old Grey Whistle Test'. The
setlist was rearranged to: Now I'm Here, Ogre Battle, White Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, The March Of The Black Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bring Back That Leroy Brown, Brighton Rock, Son And Daughter, Keep Yourself Alive, Liar, In The Lap Of The Gods.... Revisited, Big Spender, Jailhouse Rock, Stupid Cupid, Be Bop A Lula, Shake Rattle And Roll, Jailhouse Rock, Seven Seas Of Rhye, See What A Fool I've Been, God Save The Queen The 2011 double disc reissues of 'Sheer Heart Attack' and 'Queen II' include audio tracks of 'Now I'm Here' and 'White Queen' respectively, while the 2011 iTunes LP's of 'Queen II' and 'Queen' feature bonus videos of 'Ogre Battle' and 'Son And Daughter'. Parts of 'Keep Yourself Alive', and an edited version of the Rock & Roll Medley, were released on the 'Rare Live' video. Three bootlegs in the 'Top 100 Bootlegs' project feature material from this show, namely Xmas At The Beeb (16 tracks), Rogues And Scandals (7 tracks), and Rhapsody In Red (15 tracks). Between them they feature the full concert, although the Rock & Roll Medley is edited. An edited version of the show was broadcast on BBC2 on 27 November 2009 at 11:35pm. At just under 47 minutes, it featured a 30 second intro by Bob Harris, and the Old Grey Whistle Test theme tune, with the audience clapping along. It included the full versions of every track, omitting only 'Ogre Battle', 'White Queen', 'Son And Daughter', 'Seven Seas Of Rhye', 'See What A Fool I've Been' and 'God Save The Queen', and some dialogue between tracks. However, the reprise of 'Jailhouse Rock' was edited from around 3:45 down to 1:42. The programme was later broadcast on 30 May 2011, following the 'Days Of Our Lives' documentary. A full length DVD and possible CD release of the show is planned for the future. |
