Some video releases have a 60 minute
version, with some unknown tracks edited out. 'Jailhouse Rock' is
only on some laserdiscs and the DVD. The standard VHS video has a
running time of approx 90 minutes, whereas the DVD lasts for 96
minutes; the content is identical, the video runs slightly faster
so all tracks are a few seconds shorter.
The DVD features both Stereo and Surround Sound mixes. For the
Surround Sound, the vocals are more prominent through the front
speakers than the rear, but there do not seem to be any other
changes.
The 'Queen Rock Montreal' release has newly restored footage and
improved sound quality. Visually there are some differences, it
has new titles, alternative footage at the end, and there are
also slight differences in places with camera angles, but nothing
major. In terms of the audio, there are also differences, as this
release has some vocals added or removed from the audio mix - see
the 'Queen
Rock Montreal' album page for full details.
