Heineken 'Queen's Day' Lyrics
[discography

throne (although some sites list the concert as marking her
birthday). The concert was broadcast live, and several (possibly
all) of the tracks were released on a special CD-Rom, in
conjunction with Heineken.
Roger and Brian performed with a band consisting of Jamie Moses
(guitar), Spike Edney (keyboards), Steve Barnacle (bass), Eric
Singer (drums), Zoe Nicholas and Susie Webb (backing vocals),
aswell as guest vocalists Patti Russo and Trijnte Oosterhuis.

song details.
Lyrics:
(Radio)
I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh, you made us cry
You made us feel like we could fly
(Radio)
So don't become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don't know, just don't care
And just complain when you're not there
You had your time, had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio (radio)
Everybody
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo, radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Oh, radio, someone still loves you
We watch the shows, we watch the stars
On videos for hours and hours
We hardly need to use our ears
Our music changes through the years
Let's hope you'll never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around 'cos we might miss you
When we grow tired of all this visual
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo, radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo, radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Oh, radio, someone still loves you
(Radio ga ga)
(Radio ga ga)
(Radio ga ga)
(Radio)
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio (radio)
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo, radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Oh, radio, someone still loves you
Loves you

song details.
Lyrics:
Get your party gown
And get your pigtail down
Get your heart beating, baby
Got my timing right
I've got my act all tight
It's gotta be tonight my little schoolbabe
Mamma says you don't
Daddy says you don't
I'm boiling up inside
No way I'm gonna lose out this time
You know this, hey
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Lock your lucky daddy out of doors
I don't need him nosing around
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
All your love tonight, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Go get out of my house
You're such a dirty louse
That's all I ever get from your
Ooh, family ties, in fact I never heard
A single little civil word from those guys
But I don't give a light
I'm gonna make out all right
Got a sweetheart hand
To put a stop to all that
Sniping and grousing
All night
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Take your little brother swimming
With a brick, that's all right
Tie your mother down, yeah, yeah
Tie your mother down
Or you ain't no friend of mine
Ain't no damn friends of ours
Your mummy and your daddy gonna
Plague me till I die
They can't understand it
I'm just a peace loving guy
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Get that big, big, big, big, big, big daddy out of doors
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Give me all your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
All your love tonight
Hey, alright baby, alright baby
All your love tonight
Alright, gonna do this now baby, gonna give me all your love
tonight, alright
All your love tonight
All your, all your love
Tonight, yeah

details.
Lyrics:
Are you ready?
Are you ready for this?
Steve walks wearily down the street
With his brim pulled way down low
Ain't no sound but the sound of his feet
Machine guns ready to go
Are you ready, hey, are you ready for this
Are you hanging on the edge of your seat
Out of the doorway the bullets race
To the sound of the beat, yeah
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
How do you think I'm gonna get along
Without you when you're gone
You took me for everything that I had
And kicked me out on my own
Are you happy, are you satisfied
How long can you stand the heat
Out of the door way the bullets race
To the sound of the beat
Look out
Another one bites the dust, yeah
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust, yeah
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
Hey
Ooh, take it
Bite the dust
Bite the dust, yeah
Hey
Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust, ow
Another one bites the dust, hey, hey
Another one bites the dust, hey
Ooh, shout
There are plenty of ways that you can hurt a man
And bring him to the ground
You can beat him, you can cheat him
You can treat him bad and leave him when he's down, yeah
But I'm ready, yes I'm ready for you
I'm standing on my own two feet
Out of the doorway the bullets rip
Repeating to the sound of the beat
Ooh, yeah, yeah
Another one bites the dust, yeah
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust, yeah
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust
A shoot out, ay hey
Alright
Look out
Patti: Wow, woo-hoo
Under Pressure

Lead vocals sung by Roger Taylor and Patti Russo.
original song details.
Lyrics: (the lyrics in white are sung by Roger, those in red by
Patti, and those in blue are jointly sung)
Um, boom, bah, bay
Ba, ba, boom, bah, bay
Ba, ba, boom, bah, bay, dah
Pressure pressing down on me
Pressing down on you, no man ask for
Under pressure
Burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Um, bah, bah, day
Um, bah, bah, day
Eh, day, dah
Eh, day, dah
That's OK
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends screaming
Let me out
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people - people on streets
Day, day, dah
Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah
OK
Chipping around - kick my brains around the floor (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
These are the days, it never rains but it pours
Eh, doh, dah, dee (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Eh, dah, dah, bah, bop (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Eh, doh, doh (oooh)
Bah, dop
People on streets
Eh, dah, dee, dah, dee (ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh)
People on streets
Eh, dah, dee, dah, dee, dah, dee, dah (aahhhh)
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends screaming
Let me out
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people
People on streets
Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn
Why - why - why?
Love (love, love, love, love)
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we
Give love, give love, give love
Give love, give love, give love, give love
Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to
Care for the people on the
Edge of the night
And love dares you to
Change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
Under pressure
Under pressure
Pressure
Roger: We're just waiting for the hammer to fall.
Brian: Yeah, this is a little song I wrote about the end of time.
Hammer To Fall

with both halves sung by Brian.

original song details.
Lyrics:
Oh yeah
Here we stand or here we fall
History won't care at all
Make the bed, light the light
Lady Mercy won't be home tonight
You won't waste no time at all
Don't hear the bell but you answer the call
It comes to you as to us all
You're just waiting for the hammer to fall
Oh yeah, every night and every day
A little piece of you is falling away
But lift your face, the western way, babe
Build your muscles as your body decays
Toe your line and play their game
Let the anaesthetic cover it all
Till one day they call your name
You know it's time for the hammer to fall
That's here we are
Rich or poor or famous for
Your truth it's all the same (oh no) oh no (oh no) oh yeah
You gotta lock your door but rain is pouring
Through your window pane (oh no) oh
Baby now your struggle's all in vain, yeah
Hey
Oh, for he who grew up tall and proud
In the shadow of the mushroom cloud
Convinced our voices can't be heard
We just want to scream it louder and louder and louder
What the hell we fighting for?
Just surrender and it won't hurt at all
Just got time to say your prayers
While you're waiting for the hammer to, hammer to fall
Hey
Hey
Yeah
You waiting, you waiting, you waiting baby
Hey
Yeah
Huh
You're just waiting for the hammer to, hammer to, hammer to fall
To fall
Give it to me one more time
The Show Must Go On
Track 6. Length 4:23.
Lead vocals sung by Patti Russo.
Click here for the original song
details.
Lyrics:
Empty spaces, what are we living for
Abandoned places, I guess we know the score
On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore
The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah
Inside my heart is breaking
My make up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache, another failed romance
On and on, does anybody know what we are living for
I guess I'm learning (I'm learning, I'm learning, I'm learning),
I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning (turning, turning, turning) round the corner
now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah, yeah
Inside my heart is breaking
My make up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Yeah
Woah-woah
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly my friends
The show must go on, yeah, yeah
The show must go on
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On with the show
Oooh, I'll top the bill
I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the show
On with the show
The show must go on
Brian: Thank you very much

Lyrics: (Brian sings the first three, seventh and eighth verses,
Roger the fourth to sixth, and they share the last verse)
Brian: Every night, every night back in our musical back home, we
hear this song, sung by a beautiful young lady, I'm afraid you've
got me tonight.
A hand above the water
An angel reaching for the sky
Is it raining in heaven
Do you want us to cry?
And everywhere the broken hearted
On every lonely avenue
No-one could reach them, no
No-one but you
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flying too close to the sun
Life goes on
Without you
Another tricky situation
I get to drownin' in the blues
And I find myself thinking
Well, what would you do?
Hell, it was such a situation (oooh, oooh, oooh)
Forever paying every due (oooh, oooh, oooh)
Hell, you made a sensation (oooh, oooh, oooh, a sensation)
You found a way through (found a way through)
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flying too close to the sun
We'll remember
Forever
And now the party must be over
I guess we'll never understand
The sense of your leaving
Was it the way it was planned, yeah?
And so we grace another table (oooh, oooh, oooh)
And raise our glasses one more time (oooh, oooh, oooh)
There's a face at the window (oooh, oooh, oooh)
And I ain't never, never saying goodbye
One by one
Only the good die young
They're only flying too close to the sun
Oh, crying for nothing
Crying for no-one
No-one but you
Brian: Alright, people of Amsterdam

original song details.
Lyrics:
Brian: We will attempt to rock you
Buddy you're a boy make a big noise
Playing in the street gonna be a big man some day
You got mud on your face
You big disgrace
Kicking that can all over the place
Come on
We will, we will, rock you, let's hear you
We will, we will, rock you, beautiful
Buddy you're a young man, hard man
Fighting in the street gonna take on the world some day
Blood on your face
Big disgrace
Waving that banner all over the place
Singing
We will, we will, rock you, hey
We will, we will, rock you
Sounds pretty good
Buddy you're an old man, poor man
Pleading with your eyes gonna take you some peace some day
Mud on your face
You big disgrace
Somebody better put you back into your place
We will, we will, rock you, beautiful, and again
We will, we will, rock you, and again
We will, we will, rock you, one more time
We will, we will, rock you

Lyrics:
Brian: Thank you. Beautiful people of Amsterdam and of Holland.
We'd like to introduce you to a very special friend of ours and
also a very special friend of yours. We're very honoured and
pleased to have us, to have her with us tonight. Ladies and
gentlemen, Trijnte.
Ooooh
Ooooh, yeah
Ooooh
Yeah, yeah
I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand
Kicked in my face
But I've come through
On and on and on and on
We are the champions, my friends
We'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cos we are the champions
Of the world
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You've brought me fame and fortune
And everything that goes with it, I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before the whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
On and on and on and on
Sing
We are the champions, my friends, yeah
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cos we are the champions
Of the world
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cos we are the champions
Yeah, of
The world
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oooh
Yeah
