This page briefly summarises all promo videos, giving known details including directors, filming locations and dates, content, and availability of each. Only 'Driven By You' has been officially released.

In the notes below, a 'standard performance' means that the track is performed live, without audience involvement, but the studio version is dubbed over the top.

Brian appears alongside Roger in the 2005 Comic Relief video, '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo', which has it's own page, and also the videos for 'God Only Knows' by Brian Wilson and Various Artists (2014), 'Blue On Black' by Five Finger Death Punch featuring Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Brantley Gilbert (2019), 'Get Up' by Kings Daughters (2020), and 'I'm A Woman' by Woman (2020).


Amazing Grace


Unknown director.
Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
This video fetaures footage of hedgehogs, and captions about their decline, and aims to raise awareness of their plight in the UK. It does not feature Brian or Kerry at all.
The track is identical to the single version, but the video is longer, adding wildlife noise at the start.
Officially unreleased, although the video was made available free on Youtube.


Back To The Light


Original Video
Directed by Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher.
This video features footage of Brian and his band in South America, 1992, meeting fans, backstage, and performing the track live.
Officially unreleased.

The Time Traveller 1992-2021 Video
Directed by Simon Lupton.
This video was produced for the 2021 reissue of the 'Back To The Light' album, and contains footage of the Brian May Band from the 'Live At Brixton Academy' video, and new footage of Brian watching the performance and then joining the band onstage. The new footage of Brian was filmed at the Hammersmith Apollo.
It contains an edited version of 'The Dark', followed by a slightly different version of 'Back The Light', which contains some additional echoes in the quieter sections. It also includes some audience noise at various points, and some other sound effects.
The video premiered online on 10 September 2021.
Officially unreleased, although it was available on Youtube.

The Time Traveller 1992-2021 Commentary Video
Directed by Simon Lupton.
This is the same as the above video but features commentary from Brian about the track and the video.

Born Free


Original Video
Directed by Mike Slee.
Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
The video features footage of lions in the wild in Africa, with captions about hunting and their decline in numbers. It also features short clips of Brian and Kerry performing the track, and footage of them with Virginia McKenna watching lions. It uses the single version of the track.
Available as part of the 'Born Free' download only, but can also be seen via a videoscreen on 'The Candlelight Concerts - Live At Montreux 2013'.

Cecil's Law Video
This video was produced in response to the killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe in 2015. It does not feature Brian or Kerry at all, and instead uses footage of African wildlife, along with photographs of trophy hunters, and excerpts from the news reports of his killing. It starts with the same captions as the original video, in bigger font, over a blue map of Africa.
The video uses the album version of the track.

Driven By You


Directed by Gavin Taylor, Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis.
Original Video
Filmed on Brian's 1992 South American tour, and at the Expo '92 concert, this video features live footage edited to fit the track, rather than a live performance itself.

'Greatest Flix III' Video
Post Production by Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher.
This video is similar to the original but features some alternate camera angles and editing. It also features some audience noise at the start and end of the track.
Available on 'Greatest Flix III' only.

30th Anniversary Video Edit
Produced for the 2021 release of 'Back To The Light', this is similar to the original video, but a lot of the video is in split-screen whereas the original was full screen.
Remastered by Brian and Simon Lupton.
Officially unreleased, although it was available on Youtube.

Last Horizon


Directed by Gavin Taylor.
This video features extensive footage of the ground from a fast-moving aeroplane, and live footage of Brian and Cozy.
Officially unreleased.


New Horizons


Unknown director.
This video features footage of the launch of the space probe, and animations of the probe flying through space.
It features a slightly different version to the single, which adds the launch intro, and omits an outro reprise.

Nothing Really Has Changed


Unknown director.
Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
This video is a live performance of the track, recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2013. It features images of badgers via a videoscreen, and ends with captions about the badger cull with birdsong and gunshot noises.
Officially unreleased, although the video was made available free on Youtube.


One Night In Hell


Directed by Jason Jameson.
This video begins with real life footage of Brian and a stereoscope viewer, which is then distorted and animated within the Diableries format. At the end of the track, there is feedback noise, and footage of Brian playing guitar alongside an animated skeleton. The video is based on the 'One Night In Hell' short film, which features the track, which Brian also co-produced and appears in.

One Voice

Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
This video is shot in widescreen and features Kerry singing in front of a black background, being joined by Brian on acoustic guitar and then another Brian on bass guitar. The middle part of the track is then performed in front of an audience with candles, before returning to Kerry for the final verse.
Officially unreleased, although the video was made available free on Youtube.


Resurrection


Directed by Eric Zimmerman.
This video features Brian and Cozy performing the track, surrounded by fire, with lots of sci-fi special effects, and a Brian lookalike rock climbing. It features the single version of the track.
Officially unreleased, although it was available on Youtube in 2015 and again, remastered, in 2021.


Roll With You


Unknown director.
Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
This is a compilation of clips of the track from Brian and Kerry's 2016 'One Voice' tour, and some rehearsal or soundcheck footage.
This video was issued in 2017 to promote the 'Golden Days' album, and not in 2016, when the track was first released as a download.

Save The Badger Badger Badger


Produced by Jonti Picking (AKA Weebl).
This is an animated video, which is similar to the original 'Badger Badger Badger' video, produced by Weebl in 2003. It is based on the 'Flash Gordon' film, to tie-in with the track, and does not feature Brian.

Starfleet


Unknown director.
This video features extensive footage from the series, and Brian's decapitated head singing the track, which later explodes.

The Kissing Me Song


Unknown director/producer.
Although this is a collaboration with Kerry Ellis rather than a solo track, it is included here for completeness.
This video is a compilation of clips of people kissing, which were sent in to the official Queen website. It features a very brief clip of Brian, and one of Kerry at the end of the track.
Officially unreleased, but it can be seen via a videoscreen on 'The Candlelight Concerts - Live At Montreux 2013'.


Too Much Love Will Kill You


Directed by David Mallet.
This video begins with Brian setting up a camera with a family at a beach, then features him singing the song to the camera, intercut with footage from various home movies.
It features the single version of the track, with some beach sound effects at the start.
Officially unreleased, although it was remastered in 2021 and available on Youtube.


Why Don't We Try Again?


Unknown director.
An excerpt of this video was shown on BBC TV's 'Daily Live' in August 1998, it features The Brian May Band in a darkened studio performing the track. This could possibly be taken from the VH1 performance, but it would still count as a promo video.
